Mighty Baby were formed in 1968 from the ashes of The Action. They released two albums, Mighty Baby (which appeared in December 1969, but had been recorded a year earlier) and A Jug Of Love (October 1971).
Their debut, a collection of psychedelic rock songs, appeared on the tiny Head record label in the UK, and on Chess in the United States. Over the course of 1970 several members of the band became Muslims (adherents of the Sufi order), and their second album reflected the spiritual journey they had embarked on, sounding little like its predecessor. They were the closing act on the first day of the Isle of Wight Festival 1970. It has been said that it was a meeting between Richard Thompson and the band that introduced Richard and Linda Thompson to the Sufi order. It has notable guitar parts from Martin Stone.
As well as gigging regularly, the band also played many sessions for others, including Robin Scott (Woman From the Warm Grass), Andy Roberts, Keith Christmas (Stimulus and Fable Of The Wings), Shelagh McDonald, Sandy Denny, Gary Farr (Take Something with You, Strange Fruit).
Mighty Baby (絕世好B) is a 2002 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Chan Hing-Ka and Patrick Leung. It is a sequel to the 2001 La Brassiere.
In this sequel to the La Brassiere, Lena (Gigi Leung), Johnny (Lau Ching-wan) and Wayne (Louis Koo) are tasked with developing the "Mighty B" line of baby products. Since the last successful development of the "Mighty Bra", Johnny is now head of the department, he hires a neurotic secretary Sabrina (Rosamund Kwan). Lena and Wayne are planning their wedding, however, Wayne has "Baby-Phobia" which throws a wrench into their task of developing the premier "Mighty B" line of baby products. Lena hires child behavior expert Boey (Cecilia Cheung), to work with Wayne to overcome his phobia but things start to go awry when Wayne starts developing feelings for Boey.
Every time you go away
I know there's nothing I can say
But I don't know how to stay alive
No matter what I keep inside
Or what I let escape from the place where you walked through
But I wouldn't a life without you
No I wouldn't want a life without you
Every time you go away
There are some rules I do obey
If you had to watch me scream and cry
You'd feel the need I'm living by
A fragment of the pain that the world has put you through
But I wouldn't a life without you.
No I wouldn't want a life without you.
Solo
If you had to watch me scream and cry
You'd feel the need I'm living by
A fragment of the pain that the world has put you through
But I wouldn't want a life without you
