Midnight (Koontz novel)
Midnight is a novel by the best-selling author Dean Koontz. It was published in 1989. The book is a cross-genre novel. It includes aspects of suspense, science fiction, love story, and horror.
Overview
As with many Koontz books, Midnight is divided into parts. Part One: Along the Night Coast, contains chapters one through fifty-seven. Part Two: Daybreak in Hades, contains thirty-seven chapters, but is similar to Part One in that it begins with its own 'Chapter One'. Part Three: The Night Belongs To Them, follows suit, begins with its own Chapter One, and has forty-one chapters.
It is interesting to note that Midnight contains a total of one-hundred and thirty-five chapters, far exceeding the chapter count of most contemporary novels.
Midnight is Dean Koontz's first No. 1 hardcover on the New York Times bestseller list.
Midnight has a mixture of two classic plots- the great 50's film Invasion of the Body Snatchers and the classic H.G. Wells tale, The Island of Dr. Moreau. And, indeed, Koontz cleverly mentions both of these later in the novel.

Midnight is a fantasy novel, the first book in Erin Hunter's Warriors: The New Prophecy series. Following The Darkest Hour and Firestar's Quest, and preceding Moonrise, it was released May 10, 2005. The novel centers on a group of feral cats living in four Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan.
Plot summary
More than a year has passed since the previous book, [The Darkest Hour (Warriors)]. Bramblepaw, Tigerstar's son, has received his warrior name, Brambleclaw. Firestar has had two kits with Sandstorm, named Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw. Squirrelpaw is apprenticed to Dustpelt, and Leafpaw is apprenticed to Cinderpelt, to train to become the next medicine cat of ThunderClan. While Leafpaw and Cinderpelt search for herbs, StarClan, the cats' ancestors, sends Cinderpelt an ominous warning in some burning bracken, a picture of a tiger running through fire, which she interprets to mean that fire and tiger will destroy the forest. Cinderpelt concludes that the warning must be about Squirrelpaw and Brambleclaw, the daughter of Firestar and the son of Tigerstar, respectively. They share the warning with Firestar, who later decides to keep Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw separated.

Yazoo (band)
Yazoo (known as Yaz in North America for legal reasons with Yazoo Records) were a British synthpop duo from Basildon, Essex, England, consisting of former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke (keyboards) and Alison Moyet (vocals). Formed in late 1981 after Clarke responded to an advertisement Moyet placed in a UK music magazine, over the next 18 months the duo made two critically acclaimed albums, Upstairs at Eric's and You and Me Both, blending Clarke's synthesizer melodies with Moyet's blues- and soul-influenced vocals. Yazoo enjoyed worldwide success, particularly in their home country where three of their four singles reached the top three of the UK Singles Chart and both their albums made the top two of the albums chart. In North America they are best known for the song "Situation", originally only a B-side in the UK but which was a club and airplay hit in the US and Canada before being released as the band's debut single in North America.
Despite their success, the duo split acrimoniously in the spring of 1983 due to a combination of Clarke's reluctance to make more records under the Yazoo name, a clash of personalities, and a lack of communication between the pair. Clarke went on to form Erasure, another successful and longer-lasting synthpop duo, while Moyet embarked on a highly successful solo career. Although their musical career was short, Yazoo's combination of electronic instrumentation and soulful female vocals has been cited as an influence on the house music scene that emerged in the mid-1980s, as well as bands such as LCD Soundsystem (who name-checked them on their debut single "Losing My Edge"), Hercules and Love Affair (whose leader Andy Butler has said that "Situation" was his biggest musical inspiration as a child),La Roux, Shiny Toy Guns and Blaqk Audio.

Yazoo is a bottled milkshake, produced by FrieslandCampina and sold in Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Over 80 million bottles of Yazoo are sold annually.

Yazoo is available in four flavours; banana, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Vanilla was introduced in 2014 as a limited edition flavour. On 1 August it was announced that the Vanilla flavour will be staying. Bottle sizes range from 200 ml, 400 ml, and 1 litre. The smaller bottles usually have transparent straws glued to the side in a plastic wrapper. The larger bottles feature a tearaway tag on the label for easy recycling.
Yazoo is suitable for vegetarians; it is a good source of calcium, protein, B2 and B12. It is low in fat and contains no artificial sweeteners, colours or preservatives.
Advertising
Advertisements previously featured a green dinosaur mascot named Dino, similar to Nesquik's Quicky the Rabbit. The new line of bottles have the phrase "Milk shaken up" on the label.
