Meta Vannas
Meta Vannas (Meta Jangolenko-Vannas, birth name: Jürgenson) (January 4, 1924, Suuremõisa, Hiiu County – November 25, 2002, Tallinn) was a Soviet politician. She was a member of the Communist Party of Estonia.
Vannas was Minister of Public Service 1969–1975, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic 1975 – May 25, 1978, Acting Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic May 25, 1978 – July 26, 1978 and Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic July 26, 1978–1985.
