Gío

Gío is one of five parishes in Illano, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. It is situated on a slope with a view of the Navia River.

It is 5.5 km² (2.1 sq mi) in size. The population is 41.

Gao (surname)

Gao (Chinese: 高) is an East Asian surname of Chinese origin that can be literally translated as "high" or "tall". There are approximately 16 million living people with this surname. Some places, such as Taiwan, usually romanise this family name into Kao. In Hong Kong, it is romanized to Ko. In Macau, it is romanized to Kou.

According to Lüshi Chunqiu, the earliest figure with the Gao surname was Gao Yuan (高元) who created dwellings in antiquity. The grandson of the Yellow Emperor Zhuanxu was also known as Gao Yang (高陽).

Another origin of Gao is the Jiang (姜) surname. According to the Song Dynasty encyclopedia Tongzhi (通志), an early ancestor was Gao Xi (高傒) who was granted the surname Gao in honour of his grandfather Prince Gao (公子高). Prince Gao was the son of Duke Wen of the state of Qi whose ancestral name was Jiang (姜).

I G Inspector General is a 2009 Malayalam thriller film directed by B. Unnikrishnan. The movie features Suresh Gopi and Nandini in the lead roles.

Plot

IG is an action movie which Suresh Gopi dons the role of I.G. Durga Prasad. He is the head of Traffic Police. One day during his duty time he takes into custody a gang of criminals who involved in hawala transactions. Chief Minister calls a meeting to ascertain the source of the money. Actually the money is intended to terrorist activities. Knowing the serious situation, Chief Minister orders to form an Anti Terrorists Squad.

I.G.Durga Prasad is the leader of the squad. Once in a week he has to report the developments to the CM. It is at this time an allegation comes out that I.G is harassing some fellows who are suspected to be encouraging the terrorists. Many persons in the department itself are against him. Even under the heavy pressure he do not give up the enquiry. He tries his level best to put an end to the activities of terrorists. Finally he finds that his own younger brother, Vinod, is one among the terrorist gang in Kerala. He kills his brother with his mother`s permission and puts an end to the terrorist rampage in Kerala.He is honoured.

Mélodie

A mélodie is a French art song. It is the French equivalent of the German Lied. Mélodies have been composed since the mid-19th century. A chanson, by contrast, is a folk or popular song.

Nature

The mélodie is often defined by comparison with the lied. Pierre Bernac provides this comparison in The Interpretation of French Song:

Bernac writes that "the art of the greatest French composers is an art of suggestion", rather than explicit statement of feelings.

The mélodie is noted for its deliberate and close relationship between text and melody. To compose or interpret mélodies, one must have a sensitive knowledge of the French language, French poetry, and French poetic diction. Numerous books have been written about the details of French pronunciation specifically for mélodie singers, often featuring IPA transcriptions of songs with further notations for French-specific features like liaison and elision.

History

The mélodie arose just before the middle of the 19th century in France. Though the lied had reached its peak in the early 19th century, the mélodie developed independently of that tradition. Instead, it grew more directly from the earlier genre of French songs known as the romance. These songs, while apparently quite similar to the mélodie, were then as now viewed as being of a lighter and less specific nature. The text of a mélodie was more likely to be taken from contemporary, serious poetry and the music was also generally of a more profound sort. Further, while most composers in this genre were Romantics, at least in chronology, certain features of mélodies have led many to view them as not properly Romantic.
