Mélanie (rocket)

Mélanie is a French solid rocket motor, 16 cm in diameter. The first version was used as first stage of the Monica rocket.

It had a thrust increasing from 6.2 kN (Monica I) to 8.2 kN (Monica V) and a burn time of about five seconds. Melanie was later used in several ATEF and ONERA rockets. In the ONERA rockets, such as Daniel, Antares and Berenice, Melanie was placed inside a 22 cm diameter cylindrical housing. This version delivered a total impulse of 48 kN.s with about 22 kilograms of propellant.

Even Worse

Even Worse is the fifth studio album by "Weird Al" Yankovic, released in 1988. The album was the fifth produced by former The McCoys guitarist Rick Derringer. Recorded between November 1987 and February 1988, this album helped to revitalize Yankovic's career after the critical and commercial disappointment of his previous album Polka Party! (1986).

The music on Even Worse is built around parodies and pastiches of pop and rock music of the mid-1980s. Half of the album is made up of parodies, featuring jabs at Michael Jackson, George Harrison, Tiffany, Los Lobos' version of the folk song "La Bamba", and Billy Idol. The other half of the album is original material, featuring many "style parodies", or musical imitations that come close to, but do not copy, existing artists. These style parodies include imitations of specific artists such as Oingo Boingo, Beastie Boys, and James Taylor. Even Worse has the distinction of being one of two albums by Yankovic lacking any polka renditions of pop songs or medleys, the other being his debut album "Weird Al" Yankovic (1983). This album's title and cover art are spoofs of Michael Jackson's 1987 album Bad.

Mélanie is a studio album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released in Quebec, Canada on 22 August 1984. It is her sixth French language album.

Album information

The title track was dedicated to Dion's little niece Karine, diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

The album became another commercial success, reaching Gold in Canada. "Une colombe," performed by Dion for Pope John Paul II in front of 65,000 people at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal (1984) was also certified Gold.Mélanie produced two top ten Quebec singles in "Une colombe" and "Mon rêve de toujours," which peaked at number two and four, respectively. There was also a third single released - "Un amour pour moi."

The next year, Dion won five Felix Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Selling Album of the Year for Mélanie, Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year ("Une colombe") and Best Selling Single of the Year ("Une colombe"). She was also nominated for the Felix Award for Pop Album of the Year (Mélanie), Artist of the Year Achieving the Most Success Outside Quebec and Show of the Year (Céline Dion en concert). Additionally, Harvey Robitaille won Felix Award for Sound Engineer of the Year thanks to Céline Dion en concert and Paul Baillargeon was nominated for Arranger of the Year thanks to "Une colombe."

Rocket (2015 film)

Rocket (Kannada: ರಾಕೆಟ್) is a 2015 Kannada romantic comedy film written and directed by Shiva Shashi, produced by and co-starring Sathish Ninasam, alongside Aishani Shetty in the lead roles.Achyuth Kumar, Sundar Raj, Padmaja Rao, Ninasam Ashwath and Rashri Ponnappa feature in supporting roles.

Plot

The movie is a romantic comedy. The main lead of the movie, Rakesh (Sathish Ninasam), falls in love with Shwetha (Aishani Shetty), and goes through a romantic journey. He faces a lot of hurdles in the journey and overcomes those hurdles forms the crux of the story.

Production

The shooting of the movie commenced in December 2014 and finished in July 2015. The movie has been shot in Bangalore and some locations of Coorg.

Soundtrack

The music of the movie has been composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi of Lucia fame. The movie has five songs, one of the which has been sung by Kannada film actor Puneeth Rajkumar. Apart from known voices it also has voices from a pool of new Kannada singers.

Rock Island Rockets (1937)

The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Rockets were lightweight, streamlined diesel-electric passenger trains built by the Budd Company. These six trains were the first streamlined equipment purchased by the Rock Island, as well as being its first diesel-powered passenger trains. Four of the trains consisted of 3 cars each, the other two each had 4 cars.

The stainless steel trains were each powered by an Electro-Motive Corporation model TA locomotive. Unlike many other early streamlined trains, the locomotives were not permanently attached to the trains.

The trains were partially articulated, however the observation cars were not articulated with the rest of the trainsets.

Galactik Football

Galactik Football is a French animated television series, co-produced by Alphanim, France 2, Jetix Europe, and Welkin-Animation. Its third 26-episode season aired in Europe in June 2010.

In the universe of Galactik Football, the inhabited worlds of the Zaelion Galaxy compete in Galactik Football, a sport analogous to football, but played seven to a side. The game is complicated by the addition of Flux, which enhances a player's attributes such as speed, strength, and agility, or grants special powers such as teleportation. The story follows the fate of an inexperienced Galactik Football team, the Snow Kids, as they aim to compete in the Galactik Football Cup.

The story begins during a football match between the home team of planet Akillian and the Shadows. As Aarch, captain of the Akillians, takes a direct free kick, an explosion is heard and an avalanche sweeps over the stadium, marking the beginning of the Akillian Ice Age and the loss of The Breath, Akillian's Flux.
