Mehmood Ali (producer)

Mehmood Ali (born 5 July 1971, Mumbai, India) is an Indian film Producer, Director, Writer and Distributor. Started his career as writer with his mentor veteran actor director Kadar Khan shaab. He is now well known producer and director in Indian Film Industry.In 2004 he launched his own company Pen N Camera International which is now one of the leading distribution house in Indian Film Industry.

Early Life

Mehmood Ali started his schooling from Anjuman Islam mahableshwar, however further he continued his studies in Bandra Urdu high school Mumbai, during his school days at the age of 15 he started his career with Kadar Khan as translator of Hindi dialogue into Urdu Language. In the year 1998 he wrote his first film saazish starring superstar Mithun Chakraborty which was produced by Lala damani. He wrote his first serial aaha for the channel ITV which is now Zee TV .At the age of 21 Japanese TV channel NHK Made Documentary on Mehmood Ali as youngest writer in entertainment Industry .

Mehmood Ali (29 September 1932 – 23 July 2004), popularly known simply as Mehmood, was an Indian actor, singer, director and producer best known for playing comic roles in Hindi films. During his career of more than four decades, he worked in over 300 Hindi films.

Early life

Mehmood was one of eight children born to Latifunnisa and film and stage actor-cum-dancer Mumtaz Ali, who was a huge star of the 40's and 50's cinema, in Mumbai, India. Mehmood had an elder sister and six younger siblings. His sister, Minoo Mumtaz, was also a successful dancer and character actress in Bollywood movies. His youngest brother, Anwar Ali too is an actor and a producer of movies like Khud-daar and Kaash.

Career

Early career

As a child, he worked in Bombay films like Kismet. He later had a number of odd jobs, working as a table tennis teacher to Meena Kumari and as a driver for director P. L. Santoshi. Santoshi's son, Rajkumar Santoshi, would later cast him in the film Andaz Apna Apna.

After getting married and becoming a father, he decided to act to earn a better living starting with a small break as a killer in the film CID. He started off by doing small, unnoticed roles in films like the peanut seller in Do Bigha Zameen and Pyaasa. He later went on to act in lead roles, but he was appreciated for his comedy, some of which was in the Hyderabad region's Urdu accent.

Cho Yong-Jin (Korean: 조용진), famously known as Ali (stylized as ALi), is a South Korean singer-songwriter famous for her work on Korean pop music in the early twenty-first century. Her stage name is a motif from Muhammad Ali. This is so that it can be engraved easily by the masses. Following her debut in 2009, she is primarily known for her strong vocals and her time as a contestant on the KBS program Immortal Songs 2.

Career

Following her debut in 2009, she had already gained fame for her appearances on music shows, most notably Immortal Songs 2 on KBS2. She also worked as a professor in applied musical arts at the Seoul Technical Arts College.

ALi released her first album SOULri in December 2011 which was strangely two years after her official debut. One released track, "Na Young", garnered immediate controversy as its lyrics referenced a case of sexual assault that had been a very public case in South Korea, with many detractors criticizing the song to be insensitive to its subject. ALi would later address this controversy by revealing that she herself was a survivor of sexual assault.
