Maywood Station Museum

The Maywood Station Museum is located in the 1872-built New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway station in Maywood, New Jersey, United States. The station underwent an extensive restoration by the volunteer, 501(C)3 non-profit Maywood Station Historical Committee beginning in July 2002 and officially opened as a museum in September 2004. Maywood Station is listed on the New Jersey Register of Historical Places, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 (as Building #03000487). In addition, the Maywood Station Museum is listed as a Historical Archive by the State of New Jersey.

The museum is open to the public periodically throughout the year. It also open by appointment for class trips, boys and girls scout trips, senior citizen trips and for other organizations and clubs as well as can be contracted for movie and television filming, commercial props, photo shoots, etc.

The museum is operated and staffed by the volunteer membership of the Maywood Station Historical Committee. The main focus of the museum is concentrated on the history of Maywood Station and the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad and the roles they played in the development of the Borough of Maywood and the surrounding area. The museum collection contains hundreds of photographs, displays, documents, maps and artifacts covering the histories of Maywood Station, the NYS&W and local railroads, the Borough of Maywood, and the local region, which are changed periodically and designed to entertain and educate visitors of all ages as well as offer a virtual timeline to these subjects. Maywood Station Museum is also the official site of the New York, Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society's archive, which contains thousands of drawings, maps, track diagrams, photos, timetables, documents and records covering the history of the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad.

Maywood (Metra station)

Maywood is a Metra commuter railroad station in Maywood, a western suburb of Chicago, on the Union Pacific/West Line. Trains go east to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far west as Elburn, Illinois. Travel time to Ogilvie is 22 to 27 minutes. There are 13 inbound trains on weekdays, five on Saturdays and four on Sundays.

The station's parking lot is on Main Street between North 4th Avenue and North 5th Avenue in Maywood's business district. The official address is on the opposite side of the tracks at West St. Charles Road also between North 4th and North 5th Avenues at a local park. West St. Charles Road and North 4th Avenue terminate with each other at this park, which is also across the street from the Maywood Public Library. Pace suburban buses stop on North 5th Avenue and one block to the north on Lake Street.

Tant qu'il y aura des hommes (French for As Long as There Are Men) is a reissue of French singer Amanda Lear's studio album Uomini più uomini. The album was released in 1989 by Carrere Records.

Background

Following the release of the Italian language album Uomini più uomini in 1989, Amanda Lear went back into studio to re-record some of the songs in French. The album was recorded at BIPS Studios in Milan and mixed at Heaven Studio in Rimini. Side A consists of four French language versions of songs from Uomini più uomini and one new recording, "Métamorphose", while side B contains five tracks from the original Italian release. The French version of "Telegramma", entitled "Télégramme", was recorded during these sessions, but ultimately not included in the final track listing. The song would later appear on various mid-price CD compilation.

The dance track "Métamorphose" was released as the lead single in both 7" and 12" formats, and, despite numerous TV performances, failed to chart. "L'École d'amour" followed as the second and final single from the album, released on 7" disc in 1990, but was a commercial failure as well.

Essential (Ramones album)

Essential is a compilation album by the punk rock band the Ramones. It was released in 2007 by Chrysalis. The record is made up of tracks from the group's five albums on the imprint: Brain Drain, Mondo Bizarro, Acid Eaters, ¡Adios Amigos!, and Loco Live.
