Matt Evans

Matthew "Matt" Nicolas Evans (born October 22, 1986) is a Filipino actor of American descent who was a contender of the Philippine reality television show Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1. He rose to fame through his Filipino teleseryes Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko, Tanging Yaman and Rosalka. He studied college in Far Eastern University, Manila.

Matt is currently part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic contract artists.

Personal life

Evans was born to father Thalmage Eugene Evans, an American citizen, and mother Vivien Mercado Nicolas, a Filipino. He has two half siblings: Mark, who is full Filipino and Akira, who is half Japanese.

Evans resides in Quezon City, Philippines. His biological father left his mother before he was born. His father was serving in the United States Air Force at that time. He eventually found out from his uncle that his biological father had died from a heart attack on June 10, 2010.

Evans has a daughter with former partner Johnelline Hickins (daughter of former 80's sexy star, Coca Nicolas). On October 3, 2013, Evans married Katrina Fariñas, who belongs in a prominent political family in the Philippines, the Fariñas Family of Ilocos Norte. In 2014, they welcomed their first child, Hayley Marley. Evans also adopted Fariñas' son from a previous relationship, thus the child is now using the name Hayden Tyler Fariñas Evans. In 2015, Evans announced that they are expecting "baby Evans #3", Ellie Madison, who would be Fariñas' and Evans' second child together.

Matt Evans (rugby union)

Matt Evans (born 2 January 1988) is a Canadian rugby union player who currently plays for the Cornish Pirates in the RFU Championship. He is a utility back and has played in various back-line positions including fly-half, centre, wing, and fullback.

Evans competed at the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship representing Canada. He played five games and scored two tries, one versus Scotland and one vesus Australia. Evans made his international debut for the Canada senior men's team in 2008 against Ireland at Thomond Park in Limerick.

He joined the Welsh regional team the Newport Gwent Dragons in the Celtic League in June 2010 but was released at the end of the 2010-11 Magners League.

On 8 July 2011 Evans was selected as part of the 30-man Canadian squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

It was reported on 21 October 2011 that Evans would join RFU Championship side the Cornish Pirates as cover for the injured Wes Davies.
