Matt Dean

Matthew T. "Matt" Dean (born 1966) is a Minnesota politician. He served as the Majority Leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represents District 38B, which includes all or portions of Ramsey and Washington counties in the eastern Twin Cities metropolitan area. He is an architect and the owner of Dean Architects in Dellwood.

Early life and education

Born in the northeastern Minnesota city of Ely, Dean was raised in the Twin Cities suburb of Roseville. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Minnesota House of Representatives

Dean was first elected in 2004, and was re-elected in 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. He served as the Majority Leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013, having been selected by his caucus for the position on November 6, 2010.

Joe Biagini

Joseph Biagini (born May 29, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is ranked 17th on MLB's Top 30 Blue Jays prospects list.

Biagini attended The King's Academy in Sunnyvale, California, and later the University of California, Davis.

Biagini was selected in the 26th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft by the San Francisco Giants. He made his professional debut with the Class-A Augusta GreenJackets in 2012, and struggled in his 9 starts with the team, pitching to a 0–4 win–loss record, 7.41 earned run average (ERA), and 36 strikeouts in 34 innings. He was demoted to the Short Season-A Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in June, where he made 14 appearances (12 starts) and pitched to a 2–4 record, 4.27 ERA, and 63 strikeouts in 59 innings. Biagini played the entire 2013 season with the GreenJackets, pitching 96²⁄₃ total innings in 20 starts. He posted a 7–6 record, 5.03 ERA, and 79 strikeouts.
