[edit] 2010–2011: Doin' It Again

Skepta has released five singles off his third studio album Doin' It Again (first with a major label), titled "Bad Boy", "Rescue Me", "Cross My Heart" featuring Preeya Kalidas, "So Alive" and "Amnesia", as well as a video for the Hello Good Morning (Grime Remix). Three singles charted in the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, with "Rescue Me" being the most successful at number 14. "Cross My Heart" came in at number 31 and dropped out of the Top 40 a week later. Doin' it Again spent 3 weeks in the top 100 album charts and debuted and peaked at number 19 on its first week of release.

Skepta recently signed a four year album deal with Island records at Universal. This is known to be Skepta's first official signing to a major record company and was confirmed by Skepta's using his twitter "just a signed a album deal at island records universal, safe for the love #bbk"

2012–present [link]

Skepta's second major label album was supposed to be released in the fourth quarter of 2011, but it has been delayed till 2012. The first single for Skepta's new album was set to be "Dare To Dream", but after the song was on YouTube for a few days, the song was brought by Interscope’s Jimmy Lovine to give to Eminem.[2] The first single is "Hold On". The second single is "Make Peace Not War". While working on his album, he has also released other songs. These songs are entitled "You Know Me?", "Punch His Face", "Tinchy Stryder" and "I Don't Like".

Feuds and Meridian Crew breakup [link]

Meridian Crew [link]

Meridian Crew (active from 1996 – 2005) is a now defunct, grime crew whose members came mainly from the Meridian Estate in Tottenham, North London, many of whom were members of the gang that goes by the same name. The crew were most active during the days of Deja Vu 92.3FM, when they appeared weekly on Mondays. The sets often featured East Connection. Many of the crew members made their name on North London pirate radio stations (e.g. Heat FM), when they were relatively young. The group have also been associated with some controversy, with the crew sharing several prison records between them, as well as multiple members of the crew being involved in attempted murder and a serious, fatal shooting in 2005.[3] They broke up in 2005, mainly due to Skepta and Big H's in house rivalry. The crew now have no animosity between them, contrary to public speculation and are still in close contact with each other but have drifted apart, with JME and Skepta taking music more seriously and forming their own record label "Boy Better Know" and Big H, Paper Pablo, Bossman and President T having formed their own organisation "Bloodline Music Group", a gangster grime and rap collective along with a North London MC, '9 Milli Major'.[4] Fellow member Dan apparently left the group to continue a boxing career, but after an injury was rumoured to be a member of the London Fire Brigade. He is now picking up where he left off, returning to grime, joining The Bloodline Music Group.[5]
