The Mashwani (also Moshwani, Mishwani, Miswani) are a Pashtun tribe living predominantly in Pakistan.

The Mashwanis migrated to India and settled in different areas in Pakistan, such as the North-West Frontier Province, Balochistan and some in Sindh. Mashwanis can be mainly found in Sirikot in Haripur district, village Ismaila in district Swabi, village Kamalpur Musa in the Punjabi district of Attock.

The Mashwanis played an active role against the Sikhs during their occupation of the Hazara region during the 19th century and later supported the British colonial rule very actively from the time of Major James Abbott onwards. They were recruited in considerable numbers by the pre-1947 Indian Army and many of them still continue to enter military service in the present Pakistan Army. Most of them speak Pashto as their fist language.

Mashwani have been taking part in the armies from the past. The soldiership of Mashwanis continued after the birth of Pakistan. Many famous personalities from Mashwani tribe scattered in Pakistani provinces of Frontier and Baluchistan have rose to fame levels in various fields.
