Mark Nash may refer to:

Mark Nash (basketball)

Mark Nash (born 25 February 1976) is an Australian basketball player. The junior club that he played for was Kingsborough District, in Tasmania. A well-known player in the Australian Basketball Association born in Launceston, Australia, he played for the Australia Under-19 team in 1995 at the Junior World Championships. He continued to play well in the Association, and was given a chance to play in the All-ABA team that year, and then won the ABA Youth Player of the Year in 1996. He was recruited by the Hobart Devils at the start on the 1996 season.

He then had a year back in the ABA, before being signed for the Brisbane Bullets in 1998. He was then traded to the Adelaide 36ers. He competed for the Australian Boomers at the East Asian and Goodwill Games in 2001. He won an NBL premiership with the Adelaide 36ers in the 2002 season. After playing his 300th NBL game in 2006 he moved back home to Tasmania in 2007 to play for the Hobart Chargers before retiring after the 2009 season.

Mark Nash is the drummer for Christian rock band PFR, and former husband to Leigh Bingham Nash of Sixpence None the Richer. Nash also served as A&R for Squint Entertainment.

Grangegorman killings

The Grangegorman killings refers to the homicide on 6 March 1997 of Sylvia Shields and Mary Callinan, patients of St Brendan’s Psychiatric Hospital in Grangegorman, Dublin, Ireland. After giving a false confession, Dean Lyons was charged with the murders and placed on remand. In his statement to the Irish police force, the Garda Síochána (commonly called the Gardaí), Lyons gave details that would only be known to the murderer or to the investigators. After Lyons was charged, Mark Nash confessed to the killings, but later retracted his confession. In April 2015, Nash's trial for the murder of Shields and Callinan began after an unsuccessful attempt to prevent the trial from going forward.

Lyons was described by one of the gardaí (policemen) involved in the case as a "Walter Mitty" character, and Dr Charles Smith, psychiatrist and director of the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, felt that he might be prone to exaggeration and attention seeking. A commission of investigation was set up to investigate the conduct of the gardaí in the case. Dean Lyons died from a heroin overdose in 2000. He spent nine months in jail for a crime that he did not commit.
