Mark Campbell (born 4 February 1978) is a Scottish professional association footballer who plays as a centre half for Scottish Junior club Auchinleck Talbot.

Career

He began his professional career with Stranraer before moving to Ayr United, where he made over 100 first team appearances in all competitions.

Campbell next played one season with Falkirk where he picked up a winners medal in the 2004 Scottish Challenge Cup Final courtesy of Neil Scally and Darryl Duffy goals in a 2-1 win against Ross County. In that same season 2004-05, he helped the club win the Scottish First Division Championship.

He then had a short spell with St Johnstone.

Campbell enjoyed further success at Raith Rovers where he helped them to win the Scottish Second Division Championship in season 2008-09. Raith became the second club that Campbell played over 100 first team games for.

It was announced on 25 June 2011, alongside his ex-Raith colleague Kevin Smith, that he had agreed terms but not yet signed for Dumfries club, Queen of the South. His Queens debut was on 23 July 2011 the extra time 2-0 defeat away to Ayr United in the 2011-12 Scottish Challenge Cup. Campbell made 19 first team appearances for the Palmerston Park club before the club website announced on 11 February 2012 that he had moved to Irvine Meadow. In June 2014, he signed for Auchinleck Talbot.

Mark Campbell (tight end)

Mark Joseph Campbell (December 6, 1975) is a former American football player. He played professional football for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as a tight end for the Cleveland Browns from 1999 to 2000 and 2002, the Buffalo Bills from 2003 to 2005, and the New Orleans Saints in 2006 and 2008. He played college football for the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1998.

Early years

Campbell was born in Clawson, Michigan, in 1975. He grew up in Clawson and attended Bishop Foley Catholic High School in Madison Heights, Michigan.

University of Michigan

Campbell enrolled at the University of Michigan in 1994 and played college football on head coach Lloyd Carr's Michigan Wolverines football teams from 1995 to 1998. Campbell began his collegiate career as a fullback, starting one game at the position as a redshirt freshman in 1995 and five games in 1996. In 1997, he started one game each at fullback and tight end. As a senior in 1998, he started seven games—four at fullback, two at flanker and one at tight end. In four years at Michigan, Campbell caught 32 passes for 357 yards and one touchdown.

Mark Campbell (defensive tackle)

Mark Anthony Campbell (born September 12, 1972) is an American former college and professional football player who was a defensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). Campbell attended Miami Sunset High School in Miami, Florida. He received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Steve Spurrier's Florida Gators football team from 1992 to 1995. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft, and played a single season for the Arizona Cardinals in 1997. Campbell was also a member of the Orlando Rage of the XFL.

Mark Campbell is a Republican political strategist, and former college administrator.

Campbell was Deputy Commerce Secretary in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania serving as Director of Small Business from 1986 to 1987, before striking out as a consultant, subsequently as the general consultant for Bret Schundler's first campaign for Mayor of Jersey City in 1992, and consequently was the subject of a profile story by Campaigns & Elections magazine in 1993.

He worked on numerous campaigns, including those for George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, the Republican National Committee, and the National Republican Congressional Committee. He hired Republican campaign consultant Michael DuHaime to his first job out of college.

From 2000-2005 he served as Senior Vice President for Strategic, International and Government Affairs (initially Senior Vice President for Government and Community Affairs) and Executive Associate Dean of Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University, located in New Jersey, Wroxton, England, and Vancouver, Canada., performing duties as diverse as resolving problems with students' and faculty immigration status and securing Congressional earmarks. He also co-founded the university's prominent PublicMind poll in 2000-2001, but withdrew from its operation and subsequent development to shield it from concerns about his successful partisan background. The poll went on to become nationally prominent, breaking new ground in public opinion research.
