Mario Falcone

Mario Lorenzo Falcone (born 21 February 1988) is an English television personality. He is best known for starring as himself in the ITV2 semi-reality programme The Only Way Is Essex.

In August 2013, he launched his own online dating website - matingwithmario.com.

The Only Way Is Essex

Falcone made his debut appearance on The Only Way Is Essex during the third series in 2011. Since then, he has become known for his on/off relationship with fellow cast member Lucy Mecklenburgh. In June 2012, they got engaged on screen during a The Only Way Is Marbs special, but then they called off their engagement during the seventh series of the show after several rumours were spread about Falcone cheating and Mecklenburgh deciding she was too young to get married. Their turbulent relationship finally ended off screen in February 2013. During the ninth series of the show, Mecklenburgh finally confronted Falcone, throwing a glass of red wine in his face after finding out that he had cheated on her twice.

Carmine Falcone

Carmine "The Roman" Falcone is a fictional character in DC Comics' shared universe, the DC Universe, who made his debut in the four-part story Batman: Year One written by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli in 1987.

Publication history

In the comics, Falcone is a powerful Mafia chieftain nicknamed "The Roman," where his stranglehold over Gotham City's organized crime is referenced as "The Roman Empire" at least once. In Batman: Year One, the top of his penthouse is shaped like Roman architecture.

Falcone later appeared in the mini-series Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. The character is based on Marlon Brando's portrayal of Don Vito Corleone from the 1972 film The Godfather. Loeb stated in an interview that he paralleled the Falcone family to that of the Corleone family: Falcone's power and wisdom akin to Vito Corleone, his son Alberto's personality and appearance that of Fredo Corleone, and his daughter Sofia's temper matching that of Sonny Corleone. Lastly, his elder son Mario's deportation to Sicily, physical appearance and desire to legitimize the Falcone family are all traits shared with Michael Corleone.

Plot

Mario (Petermann) is a 10-year-old autistic boy who is mute and hard of hearing. He has an 18-year-old brother whom he admires greatly. One day, Simon (Reddy) becomes involved with a woman and, as a result, their relationship becomes strained. Mario finds himself without his brother and his parents who are always watching over their island during the tourist season.

Super Mario (Japanese: スーパーマリオ, Hepburn: Sūpā Mario) is a series of platform video games created by Nintendo featuring their mascot, Mario. Alternatively called the Super Mario Bros. (スーパーマリオブラザーズ, Sūpā Mario Burazāzu) series or simply the Mario (マリオ) series, it is the central series of the greater Mario franchise. At least one Super Mario game has been released for every major Nintendo video game console and handheld.

The Super Mario games follow Mario's adventures in the fictional Mushroom Kingdom, usually with Mario as the player character. He is usually joined by his brother, Luigi, and occasionally by other members of the Mario cast. As in platform video games, the player runs and jumps across platforms and atop enemies in themed levels. The games have simple plots, typically with Mario rescuing the kidnapped Princess Peach from the primary antagonist, Bowser.
