Manūchehr (in Persian: منوچهر), older Persian Manōčihr, Avestan Manuščiθra, is a character in the Shahnameh. He is the first of the legendary Shāhs who ruled Iran after the breakup of the world empire of Manūchehr's great-grandfather, Fereydūn.
Manūchehr was the grandson of Īrāj, who was the son of Fereydūn, and he avenged the death of Īrāj at the hands of Fereydūn's other two sons, Salm and Tūr. From the death of Tūr in Manūchehr's war of vengeance sprang a war between the peoples of Īrān and Tūrān that would last for centuries, until the reign of Kai Khosrow.
Manūchehr died after a reign of 120 years, and was succeeded by his son Nowzar.
Manuchehr or Manouchehr (Persian: منوچهر, Manūchehr, Old Persian: Manōčihr, Avestan: Manuščiθra) is a Persian male given name meaning heaven's face. It consists of two parts Manu (Manou) which means heaven in old Persian language and Chehr which means face.
They sent us into their machine
But that plane crashed into the sea
We float alone above the waves
Within a waterproof capsule
We never made it to Manchuria (No one can choose, no one can decide their friends or their families)
Instead we fell into the sea (No one can choose, no one can decide their friends or their families)
We float alone above the waves (We stand outside ourselves, define ourselves)
Within a waterproof capsule (Define ourselves by standing outside ourselves)
We never made it to Manchuria (No one can choose, no one can decide their friends or their families)
Instead we fell into the sea (No one can choose, no one can decide their friends or their families)
We'll stay up all night and watch "The Land Without Bread"
We'll stay up all night with "Manufacturing Consent"
We'll stay up all night, watch "Juliet Of The Spirits"
We'll stay up, we'll stay up, we'll stay up, yeah
And don't say that we're not like them either (We fell into the sea)
Don't say that we're not like them either (We fell into the sea)
