Amor (Ricky Martin song)

"Amor" (English: "Love") is the first English-language single from Ricky Martin's greatest hits album, The Best of Ricky Martin (2001). Originally, the song was included on the 2000 album, Sound Loaded. The Best of Ricky Martin contains two remixes of "Amor," by Salaam Remi and Jonathan Peters.

"Amor" was released on November 26, 2001 in selected European countries.

The song reached number eighty-two in Switzerland in December 2001.

Amore (Andrea Bocelli album)

Amore is the eleventh studio album by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, released on 31 January 2006, for the Valentine's Day season. This album features a remake of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love"; "Because We Believe", the closing song of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, which Bocelli wrote and performed; "Somos Novios (It's Impossible), a duet with American pop singer Christina Aguilera; and his first recording of Bésame Mucho, which eventually became one of his signature songs.

Amore was released internationally beginning on 28 February 2006.

A Spanish version of the album was also released in the same year, called Amor.

In Japan it was released on 18 October 2006 as Anata ni Okuru Ai no Uta (貴方に贈る愛の歌, A Love Song I Send to You) and featured a bonus track.

1221 Amor

1221 Amor is the namesake of the Amor asteroids, a group of near-Earth asteroids whose orbits range between those of Earth and Mars. Amors are often Mars-crossers but they are not Earth-crossers.

Eugène Joseph Delporte photographed Amor as it approached Earth to within 16 million kilometers (about 40 times the distance from Earth to the moon); this was the first time that an asteroid was seen to approach Earth so closely. A month later, 1862 Apollo was seen to cross Earth's orbit, and the scientific community suddenly realised the potential threat these flying mountains presented.

Amor is named after the Roman god of love, better known as Cupid. See also 763 Cupido and 433 Eros, which is named after Cupid's Greek counterpart. Coincidentally, 433 Eros, like 1221 Amor, makes close approaches to Earth. It is a Mars-crosser as well.

Bronco (Mexican band)

Grupo Bronco is a Mexican Grupero group from Apodaca, N.L.. Bronco's modern take on the Norteño style in the '80s and '90s helped earn them a number of international hits. Band members José Guadalupe Esparza, Ramiro Delgado, Javier Villareal, and José Luís 'Choche' Villareal crafted a sound that paid tribute to the Norteño tradition while incorporating modern instruments like keyboards, as well as a more melodic, pop style with elaborate costumes.

By 1990 "Bronco" proved that they were gaining fame because that same year they were the protagonist of the movie called "Bronco la pelicula" in which all four members of the band played a role in this film.

Bronco, who had already experienced international fame partly by help of their international hit Que no Quede Huella (May no Traces be Left) from their 1989 album A Todo Galope, and being scheduled to tours that took them all over Mexico, to the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru and many other countries, found themselves in the midst of a second power dose of famousness in 1993, when they acted in the Televisa soap opera, Dos Mujeres, un Camino (Two Women, one Road), alongside Erik Estrada, Laura León, Lorena Herrera, Selena Quintanilla and Bibi Gaytán, among others. In addition to the acting, they performed the show's opening song, which was titled like the show. The CD Pura Sangre which included the song Dos Mujeres, un Camino, earned gold and platinum records in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay, as well as in Mexico. All of Bronco's albums have achieved solid sales in the United States.

Bronco (wrestler)

Bronco (born December 26, 1989 in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) portraying a rudo ("bad guy") wrestling character. Bronco's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans.

Mal (caste)

The Mal are a Hindu caste found in the state of West Bengal & Jharkhand.They are also known as the Mal/Malla Kshatriya. Mal, Mall & Malla are derived from the Sanskrit word malla, meaning wrestler.

Paharia Mal or Mal Paharia is considered as Scheduled Tribe while the other Mal groups are considered as Scheduled Castes by the Government of West Bengal.

Demographics

Mal numbered 273,641 in the 2001 census and were 1.5 per cent of the total Scheduled Caste population of West Bengal. 39.6 per cent of the Mal were literate - 51.9 per cent males and 26.8 per cent females were literate.

Divisions

The Mal have four sub-divisions, the Raja Mal or Rajbansi Mal, the Chhatradhari Mal or Rajchhatradhari Mal, the Sapure Mal or Bede and the Paharia Mal or Dhanguria Mal. They are said to be Dravidian tribes found in the Rajmahal hills that was Hinduized over time. The community is now found mainly in Birbhum District. Raja Mals were rulers of Bengal-Jharkhand junction area. Chatradhari Mals were supposed to be ministers of Raja Mals. Sapure Mals are mainly snake charmers. Paharia Mals generally live in hilly areas, and have their own distinct language. Raja Mals do not practice widow marriage like other orthodox Hindus.

Mal mac Rochride

Mal, son of Rochraide, a descendant of the legendary hero Conall Cernach, was, according to medieval Irish legend and historical tradition, a king of the Ulaid and later a High King of Ireland. He took the High Kingship after he killed Tuathal Techtmar at Mag Line (Moylinny near Larne, County Antrim), and ruled for four years, at the end of which he was killed by Tuathal's son Fedlimid Rechtmar. The Lebor Gabála Érenn synchronises his reign with that of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius (138–161). The chronology of Geoffrey Keating's Foras Feasa ar Éirinn dates his reign to 100–104, that of the Annals of the Four Masters to 106–110. His son was Tipraiti Tireach
