My Love (Namie Amuro song)

"My Love" is a song by Namie Amuro. It was released as a radio single from her 9th album "Past<Future" in October 2009, after being chosen as one of two commercial songs simultaneously used in Vidal Sassoon hair product campaigns.

Writing

The song is a mid-tempo R&B track, described as a "sweet love song" by Amuro. The lyrics describe the things that a lover makes them feel, such as feeling that "everything (you do) is so special" (全てがSo Specialで^?, subete ga so special de) or that they are the only one who they miss.

Producer Hiro considered it a great honour to work with Amuro.

Release

The song was first released to radio on October 27, when it was played on the J-Wave "Groove Line" radio show. It was released as a ringtone download on November 18.

The song charted on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 in November and December, charting lowly (generally around #60). it reached its highest week on the November 30 charts, in which is reached #42. The song also peaked on the Billboard Japan Hot Top Airplay/Adult Contemporary Airplay charts at its highest in this week, with #38 and #14 respectively.

My Love was a top ten hit for Netherlands based pop duo Rosy & Andres in 1976.

The song

The October 9, 1976 issue of Billboard reported that "My Love" reached position no 3 in the Dutch chart, just behind "In Zaire" by Johnny Wakelin and with "Dancing Queen" by ABBA at no 1. By October 23, 1976 the Billboard chart reported that it had dropped to no 8. In Holland it was released on CNR, release no. CNR 141 351.

Singers

Rosy is the daughter of Indonesian steel guitarist Coy Pereira, and had previously recorded as Babe Pereira.Andres is a Dutch singer, songwriter of Indonesian descent. In 1972, he represented the Netherlands at the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest. Previously he was part of the duo Sandra & Andres.

Composers

The song was composed by the singer Andres Holten and Marshal Manengkei. They had earlier composed "Sausilito" which was a 1975 hit.

Other versions

Some seventeen years later in 1993, Belgian vocal duo Tony Servi & Corina had a hit in their country with "My Love", CD single JRP 931022. It reached no. 34 on the Beligian charts. It was arranged by Patrick Renier, produced by Jack Rivers and released on Rivers's J.R.P label.

Jana Kramer

Jana Rae Kramer (born December 2, 1983) is an American actress and country music singer. She is best known for her role as Alex Dupre on the television series One Tree Hill. Kramer began a country music career in 2012 with the single "Why Ya Wanna" from her self-titled debut album for Elektra Records.

Early life

Kramer was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States, to Nora and Martin Kramer. She is of German Chilean, Croatian and French ancestry. Jana has one brother Steve who is a police officer. Jana attended Rochester Adams High School. She speaks some German.

Career

2002–11: acting career and record deal

In 2002, Kramer made her acting debut in the low-budget independent horror film Dead/Undead. The following year Kramer guest appeared on All My Children, which marked Kramer's television debut. Kramer has since continued to appear in a number of television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and CSI: NY. She has also had small supporting roles in films such as Click, Prom Night and Spring Breakdown.

Love, or more uncommon Lowe, is a Swedish version of the French name Louis. It can also be a version of Lovisa, and can thus be used both for men and women, although it is more common with men.

The name is uncommon amongst adults; there are less than 200 men older than 30 in Sweden with the name, but several hundreds from every cohort born in the 1990s. 31 December 2009, there was in total 6,058 men in Sweden with the name Love/Lowe, of which 2,953 had it as first nnameame, the rest as middle name. Tennis scoring system

A tennis tournament is organized into matches between players (for singles tournaments) or teams of two players (for doubles tournaments). The matches of a tournament are grouped into rounds. In round 1, all players (or teams) are paired and play against each other in matches. The losers are said to leave, or be out. They no longer compete in the tournament (this is single elimination).
