Australian Christian Lobby

The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) is a political organisation based in Canberra, which works in six different states and territories inside the country. The ACL is politically active in Australia as a Christian right lobbying organisation.

History

The Australian Christian Coalition (ACC) was founded in 1995 by John Gagliardi, a lay leader of a large Pentecostal church in Brisbane. Gagliardi had held journalistic positions as editor of the Townsville Bulletin and as a presenter for Channel 10 news. Co-founders include John McNicoll, a retired Baptist minister turned lobbyist in Canberra, and John Miller, who worked with a number of community and government organisations and held leadership positions within his independent community-based church.

The organisation changed its name to the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) in March 2001. The ACL is an Australian Public Company, Limited By Guarantee and files political expenditure returns with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Momentum (Close to Home album)

Momentum is the fourth full-length studio album by post-hardcore band Close to Home, released on July 31, 2012, through Artery Recordings/Razor & Tie. It is the band's first album with vocalist Andrew DeNeef, after the departure of Nick Stiens in November 2011.

The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Andrew Wade (A Day to Remember, Motionless In White) at his Wade Studios in Ocala, Florida.

The song "Family Ties" features guest appearances by David Stephens and Kyle Pavone, both the vocalists of metalcore band We Came as Romans.

Make It

"Make It" is a song on Aerosmith's self-titled debut album, Aerosmith. The song was released as a promo single for the album but got little to no airplay. "Make It" opens the first side on the album and contains welcoming lyrics to the listener, "Good evening people, welcome to the show, got something here I want you all to know". The song begins with the protagonist welcoming people to a show and tells them he has something they should know, the info in question is to make it and not break it, which means to succeed in achieving your dreams and not letting anything stop you, much like Aerosmith in their early club days performing up to three shows a day trying to get a record deal. The song was re-recorded for the 2007 video game Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

"Make It" was performed constantly throughout the seventies and rarely throughout the rest of their career. The first known play was on December 2, 1971 at the Academy of Music in New York City and the last known play was on November 26, 2003 at the Fleet Center in Boston
