Magic Mountain was a theme park in Glenelg, a beachside suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It opened in December 1982 and closed on 18 July 2004.
Magic Mountain was popular among the young and "young at heart", but had also been criticised for its design, which was likened to a "giant dog dropping". It was demolished amid controversy late in 2004 as part of the final stage of the Holdfast Shores development and replaced by The Beachouse in 2006.
Magic Mountain was popular more with locals than tourists, and especially with younger people. The main attraction of Magic Mountain were its four water slides (the largest in the southern hemisphere at the time), particularly during the hot Adelaide summer. Other attractions included the historic carousel (which has been preserved), mini-golf, bumper boats, dodgem cars and sky cycles, pinball machines, a light-rifle shooting gallery and video arcade games.
Demolition of Magic Mountain was part of the second stage of the Holdfast Shores development, and was required in order to maintain the stipulated amount of open space. The plan, signed in 1997, included a profit-sharing agreement between the state government and the Holdfast Shores consortium, and a separate agreement concerning public infrastructure with the local government (the City of Holdfast Bay).

Magic Mountain is an live-action Australian children’s television programme broadcast on the ABC from 1997 to 1998. It was released on video, but there has been no DVD release yet. Magic Mountain follows the adventures of Lion, Tortoise, Panda and Dragon - four friends having lots of fun with a little Dragon magic thrown in. Tortoise is a motherly figure, always looking out for the others and trying to help them. Dragon lives in a cave, and is very wise, with magical powers that often get the others out of trouble. Panda is a little bit vain, but still a likeable character who is quite smart, and Lion is very playful, full of ideas and is constantly getting into mischief. These four creatures "enjoy wonderful times as they invent unusual games, play tricks on each other, and have exciting adventures as they explore their enchanting world."
Magic Mountain (French: Parc aquatique Magic Mountain), is mainly a water park, which is located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. It is part of the Magnetic Hill tourist site. The park is the largest man made tourist attraction in Atlantic Canada. It requires more than 800,000 imperial gallons (3,600,000 L) of water to operate which is heated by propane heaters with a capacity of almost 7 million BTUs (7.4 gigajoules).
The park was created as an addition to the growing tourist site of Magnetic Hill, which already consisted of the hill itself, and the Magnetic Hill Zoo. Construction on the park commenced on August 12, 1986 and through the efforts of more than 600 construction workers it was completed in less than a year, opening on June 26, 1987. In 1999 the park came under new ownership and since then several improvements have been made to the park. A children's "Splash pad", two new children's slides and two new body slides named "Pipeline" and "Sidewinder" were constructed. Other developments include:
At magic mountain
Nobody sings today
Nobody speaks today
Close my eyes
And hope to see
Weeks go by like a day
In a lowland
I live up on magic mountain
No one leaves magic mountain
At magic mountain
Nothing changes
Everything stays the same
Cross my heart
And hope to leave
All the time
With a little fever
I stay here on magic mountain
No one leaves magic...
My heart hears you sing
My heart sees you speak
But I never make it in the flatlands
