Madhyapur Thimi is a municipality in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 2001 Nepal census it had a population of about 62,000. The city is located in the center of Kathmandu Valley. It is famous for its pottery and cultural programs like Bisket jatra, Gai jatra and other dancing jatra. [1]
