Lupin (Hangul: 루팡) is the third mini-album by South Korean girl group Kara. The concept and artwork of the album is based on French writer Maurice Leblanc's fictional gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin.
In early February, DSP Media announced that Kara would be coming back with "Lupin" and showing a darker, more mature concept. The song was released to digital outlets on February 17, 2010 and topped various charts the following day.
Han Seung-yeon noted that, although the group had a cute image with singles like "Pretty Girl" and "Mister", "Lupin" would allow the girls to portray a "chic" concept.
Media reports noted that the group would be going up against Girls' Generation, who had made their comeback a few weeks earlier with "Oh!".
Kara made their comeback in late February, starting with Mnet's M! Countdown on February 25, 2010. The group then performed on all major network music shows over the weekend.
On March 4, 2010, Kara won their first #1 award for "Lupin" on M! Countdown. The following week, Kara won yet another #1 award on M! Countdown, making it their second consecutive win on the program. "Lupin" also gave Kara their first #1 win on Music Bank on March 12, 2010, making it the group's first win on the music show since their debut, and held onto the position for three consecutive weeks. The song also won the Mutizen award from Inkigayo.
! is an album by The Dismemberment Plan. It was released on October 2, 1995, on DeSoto Records. The band's original drummer, Steve Cummings, played on this album but left shortly after its release.
The following people were involved in the making of !:
Albums of recorded music were developed in the early 20th century, first as books of individual 78rpm records, then from 1948 as vinyl LP records played at 33 1⁄3 rpm. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though in the 21st century albums sales have mostly focused on compact disc (CD) and MP3 formats. The audio cassette was a format used in the late 1970s through to the 1990s alongside vinyl.
An album may be recorded in a recording studio (fixed or mobile), in a concert venue, at home, in the field, or a mix of places. Recording may take a few hours to several years to complete, usually in several takes with different parts recorded separately, and then brought or "mixed" together. Recordings that are done in one take without overdubbing are termed "live", even when done in a studio. Studios are built to absorb sound, eliminating reverberation, so as to assist in mixing different takes; other locations, such as concert venues and some "live rooms", allow for reverberation, which creates a "live" sound. The majority of studio recordings contain an abundance of editing, sound effects, voice adjustments, etc. With modern recording technology, musicians can be recorded in separate rooms or at separate times while listening to the other parts using headphones; with each part recorded as a separate track.

Revista Lúpin (Lúpin Magazine) was a monthly Argentine comics magazine (historieta). Guillermo Guerrero and Héctor Mario Sidoli first launched it on February 1, 1966. It was disestablished in 2007.
The comic takes its name from the popular Argentine comic strip hero Lúpin el Piloto, which debuted in 1959.
It features the air adventures of its pilot hero Lúpin, as well as other strips with regular characters, usually with a technical or scientific bent. It also included plans for building model aircraft, simple electronic devices, telescopes, and other technical objects. Although never a huge popular success, it received letters from Argentine engineers, pilots, and even a NASA astronaut who read it as children.
The name Lúpin is a lunfardo word for "looping the loop" that comes from the English word "looping". The accent on the u is not standard in Spanish spelling.
Néstor Kirchner, the president of Argentina from 2003 to 2007, was nicknamed Lúpin because of his physical resemblance to the character.
Lupin is a Philippine drama series that aired on GMA Network. It is loosely based on the French crime fiction series of books featuring the character Arsène Lupin and the Japanese manga and anime series Lupin III, in turn loosely based upon the original works. "Lupin" aired its last episode on August 17, 2007.
Created by Maurice Leblanc, Arsène Lupin first appeared in a series of short stories serialized in 1905 and published in book form as Arsène Lupin, gentleman-cambrioleur in 1907 (translated into English as The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar).
Born in the late 19th century, Lupin is a gentleman thief, a master of disguise, and an amateur detective. While operating on the wrong side of the law, he is still a force for good. Those whom Lupin defeats are worse villains than he. Other characters in the stories include Lupin's faithful accomplice Grognard and his lawman adversary Inspector Justin Ganimard. In some stories Lupin faces Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes (called "Herlock Sholmès" for copyright reasons).
