Armadillo Enterprises, Inc., is a company established in 1995 as a distributor of musical instruments. They own the following:

Luna Guitars is a manufacturer and seller of stringed instruments (guitars, basses, ukuleles, mandolins, and banjos). The company was founded in 2005 by stained-glass artist Yvonne de Villiers under the umbrella of Armadillo Enterprises and headquartered in Tampa Florida. Luna guitars are notable for their unique ornamentation that is heavily influenced by Yvonne's glass work.

Verdena

Verdena are an Italian alternative rock band originating from Albino, Bergamo. As of February 2015, they have released six full-length albums on Universal Music Group.

History

Alberto (guitarist) and Luca Ferrari (drummer) are brothers and have been playing together for 10 years. With the addition of Roberta Sammarelli (bassist), they formed the band Verdena. In 1999 they broke onto the scene with their eponymous debut, and began to perform concerts all across Italy. Their first single, "Valvonauta", received significant airtime on MTV and other music stations. Their style can be described as a mixture of rock, grunge and psychedelia.

Their second album, Solo un grande sasso, exhibited longer songs with more frequent guitar solos. The most important tracks of this album are "Spaceman", "Nova", "Starless" and "Centrifuga".

In 2004, Fidel Fogaroli joined the band as a keyboardist, appearing on the album Il suicidio del samurai. In 2006, Fidel left Verdena and the band returned to its original three-piece setup. The single "Luna", originally released on Il suicidio dei Samurai, was one of the band's most notable successes.

Moon

The Moon (in Greek: σελήνη Selene, in Latin: Luna) is Earth's only natural satellite. It is one of the largest natural satellites in the Solar System, and, among planetary satellites, the largest relative to the size of the planet it orbits (its primary). It is the second-densest satellite among those whose densities are known (after Jupiter's satellite Io).

The Moon is thought to have formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago, not long after Earth. There are several hypotheses for its origin; the most widely accepted explanation is that the Moon formed from the debris left over after a giant impact between Earth and a Mars-sized body called Theia.

The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth, always showing the same face with its near side marked by dark volcanic maria that fill between the bright ancient crustal highlands and the prominent impact craters. It is the second-brightest regularly visible celestial object in Earth's sky after the Sun, as measured by illuminance on Earth's surface. Although it can appear a very bright white, its surface is actually dark, with a reflectance just slightly higher than that of worn asphalt. Its prominence in the sky and its regular cycle of phases have, since ancient times, made the Moon an important cultural influence on language, calendars, art, and mythology.

Old (Starflyer 59 album)

Old, the seventh full-length album released by Starflyer 59, was released on Tooth & Nail Records in 2003. It is often considered one of the best albums by Starflyer 59, as it reintroduces the band's rock oriented sound. Many of the lyrics of the songs on this album revolve around the theme of growing older.

U.S. Route 127 in Michigan

US Highway 127 (US 127) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. In Michigan, it is a state trunkline highway that runs for 214.12 miles (344.59 km), entering from Ohio south of Hudson and ending at a partial interchange with Interstate 75 (I-75) south of Grayling. Prior to 2002, US 127 ended at I-69 north of Lansing–East Lansing, a total of approximately 83 miles (134 km). US 127 is the primary route connecting Lansing and Central Michigan to Northern Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge. From the south side of Jackson northerly, it is mostly a four-lane freeway. A notable exception is a 16-mile (26 km) stretch from north of St. Johns to just south of Ithaca, where the highway is built as an expressway and speed limits are lower. South of Jackson to the state line, the trunkline is a two-lane, undivided highway with access from adjacent properties.

M-14 (Michigan highway)

M-14 is an east–west state trunkline highway in the southeastern portion of the US state of Michigan. Entirely freeway, it runs for 22.250 miles (35.808 km) to connect Ann Arbor with Detroit by way of a connection with Interstate 96 (I-96). The western terminus is at a partial interchange with I-94 west of Ann Arbor. From there, the freeway curves around the north side of Ann Arbor and runs concurrently with US Highway 23 (US 23). East of that section, M-14 passes through woodlands and fields in Washtenaw County. In Wayne County, the freeway returns to a suburban area of mixed residential neighborhoods and light industrial areas. It crosses two different rivers and a pair of rail lines as it approaches Detroit's inner suburbs, where it terminates at an interchange between I-96 and I-275.

When the state's highway system was first signed in 1919, there was a different M-14 that ran the length of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. This was later replaced by a pair of different US Highways in the 1920s and 1930s. Another M-14 was designated that lasted until the 1940s. The current highway dates back to 1956 when it was designated along a series of roads that previously carried US 12. During the 1960s and 1970s, M-14 was moved to the freeway alignment it currently uses; sections of the former route are still maintained by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) as unsigned highways.

Hag (album)

Hag is an album by Merle Haggard released on Capitol Records in 1971. It became his fifth album to top the Billboard country album charts. It also reached number 66 on the pop albums chart.

History

Hag was Haggard's first album with a majority of original songs in two years, following two tribute albums (to Jimmie Rodgers and Bob Wills) and two live albums in 1969 and 1970. While Hag spawned no #1 hits, it did include three singles that went to number 3. In his 2013 book The Running Kind, Haggard biographer David Cantwell contends that Hag is was "the most sustained and closest-to-coherent political statement of his career...The world Hag portrays on Hag is one teetering on the brink. From atop some middle-American watchtower, Merle delivers a nearly despairing state of the union." The album opens with the Ernest Tubb World War II era-hit "Soldier's Last Letter," a song that took on a new relevance in 1971 with America's continued involvement in the Vietnam War. Haggard addresses social issues plaguing the country at home, such as street violence ("Jesus Take Hold") and homelessness ("Sidewalks of Chicago"). The LP also contains some of Haggard's most delicately sung love songs, such as the melancholy "Shelly's Winter Love" and "The Farmer's Daughter." Haggard would rerecord "No Reason to Quit" for his 1983 duet album Pancho and Lefty with Willie Nelson.
