Buttons (Sia song)

"Buttons" is a song by Sia Furler. "Buttons" was released as a promotion single in 2007 and as the fourth and final official single from her 2008 album, Some People Have Real Problems. The song is a bonus track on the Australian edition and a hidden track (following "Lullaby") on the international edition of the album.

Re-mixes were released in the US on 25 November 2008 and a 1-track digital single in New Zealand on 9 February 2009 through Spinnin Records.

The Chris Lake Vocal Mix is included on the album, "Ultra Music Festival 03" The CSS remix is included on the album, "Triple J Hottest 100, Vol. 17" after coming in at number 50 in the annual poll.

Critical reception

In a review of the album We Are Born, Bradley Stern of MuuMuse said "Bubblier up-tempos, such as 'Buttons' ... demonstrated Sia's ability to go beyond the realm of the ballad."

Lullaby (James Walsh album)

Lullaby is the first solo album from James Walsh, the former lead singer of Starsailor. It was released on September 17, 2012 via iTunes in the UK.

Background

After Starsailor decided to take a hiatus, James teamed up with songwriter Sacha Skarbek to initially work on material for his debut solo album. During these sessions, Sacha introduced James to Philippa Smith, who was in the process of developing a film along with acclaimed Swedish director Ulf Johansson based on Lullaby (novel) by acclaimed US author Chuck Palahnuik. After they quickly put together a demo for the song "Road Kill Jesus", James and Sacha were approached to create an album of music inspired by the script and original source material.

James and Sacha were then provided with song titles, music briefs and images by the production company and work on the album commenced at Abbey Road studios. Sacha covered the walls of the studio with images sent by Ulf Johansson designed to inspire the mood of the film.

Taking the Long Way

Taking the Long Way is the seventh studio album by the Dixie Chicks, an American country music band. It was released on May 23, 2006 in the U.S. and on June 12, 2006 worldwide. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It sold over 2.5 million copies in the U.S., being certified 2x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America as of July 11, 2007. It won 5 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year in February 2007.

History

The first song released from the album was the charity single "I Hope" on September 2005. The song received its debut performance on the Shelter from the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast telethon on September 9, 2005 and was later made available as a digital download single with proceeds to benefit the Hurricane Katrina relief.

The first physical single from the album, "Not Ready to Make Nice", was released in March 2006. On May 18, 2006, the whole album was leaked onto various file sharing mediums.

Sia Furler

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born 18 December 1975), sometimes referred to mononymously as Sia (/ˈsiːə/), is an Australian singer-songwriter. She started her career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s. In 1997, when Crisp disbanded, she released her debut studio album titled OnlySee on Flavoured Records in Australia. Following the event, she moved to London, England and provided lead vocals for British duo Zero 7.

In 2000, Sia signed to Sony Music's sub-label Dance Pool and released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, the following year. Displeased with the promotion of the record, she signed to Go! Beat and released her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004. Dissatisfied with the project's struggling to connect with a mainstream audience, Sia relocated to New York City in 2005 and began touring across the United States. Sia released her fourth and fifth studio releases, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which was preceded by the top-ten single "Chandelier". On 29 January 2016, she released her seventh studio album This Is Acting.

SIA 7

The SIA 7B was a biplane reconnaissance-bomber built by the Società Italiana Aviazione and served with the Italian Corpo Aeronautico Militare and American Expeditionary Force in 1917.

Development

The engineers, Torretta and Carlo Maurilio Lerici of the Fiat company, designed the airplane as a "Jack of all trades", its speed, climbing power, and carrying capacity enabled it to be used as a bomber and racer. It was built in the workshops of the Societa Italiano Aviazione, a sister company to the famous motor-car firm F.I.A.T. of Turin. It used the standard Italian structural feature of a plywood-covered fuselage.

The SIA.7B was accepted for the Italian Air Force in November 1917 and entered mass production. There were however revealed its shortcomings, like low wing structure durability and poor view. Next variant SIA.7B2, developed in December 1917, had strengthened wings, slightly raised cockpits and stronger engine. Another variant, built in February 1918, was the SIA 9 with stronger 700 hp engine. There were built 501 SIA.7B, 71 SIA.7B2 and 62 SIA.9B.
