Loverboy

Loverboy is a Canadian rock group formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. Loverboy's hit singles, particularly "Turn Me Loose" and "Working for the Weekend", have become arena rock staples and are still heard on many classic rock and classic hits radio stations across the United States and Canada. The band is currently based in Vancouver.

Throughout the 1980s, Loverboy accumulated numerous hit songs in Canada and the United States, earning four multi-platinum albums and selling millions of records. After being rejected by many American record labels, they signed with Columbia/CBS Records Canada and began recording their first album on March 20, 1980. Loverboy's founding members were Mike Reno (previously with Moxy as Mike Rynoski) on lead vocals, Paul Dean (previously with Streetheart and Scrubbaloe Caine) on guitars and vocals, Jim Clench (formerly of April Wine and BTO) on bass guitar (replaced shortly after by Scott Smith), Doug Johnson (b. Dec. 19, 1957 in New Westminster, B.C.) on keyboards, and Matt Frenette (b. Mar. 7, 1954 in Calgary, also formerly of Streetheart) on drums.

Loverboy (You Me at Six song)

"Loverboy" is the first single by British rock band You Me at Six, taken from their third studio album, Sinners Never Sleep. The single was released on 23 September 2011 as a digital download in the United Kingdom. The single reached #39 on the UK Singles Chart, making it the band's third Top-40 UK single.

Music video

A music video to accompany the release of "Loverboy" was first released onto YouTube on 29 August 2011, at a total length of three minutes and twenty-three. The clip, which was shot over 15 hours, sees the Surrey-based rock group under interrogation after being arrested "for being a band". Josh Franceschi said: "The whole concept of our album is being under arrest... whether it be body arrest or not being able to say what you want to say, when you want to say it. Throughout the video we're getting interrogated by these two guys... basically we've been arrested for being a band."

4ZZZ (pronounced "Four Triple Zed" or simply "Triple Zed") is an independent community radio station operating in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, at the frequency 102.1 FM. As a community radio station, 4ZZZ is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The station broadcasts to much of South-East Queensland, parts of Northern NSW and web streams from its website.

History

4ZZZ was established to provide a radical alternative to mainstream news, to promote a sense of engagement and activism in community life and to promote Australian music. The station began transmission on 8 December 1975 as the first FM community broadcaster in Brisbane transmitting in stereo.

The station's first studios were constructed by announcing staff and volunteers, using second hand building materials and furniture. The first transmitter was hand built by the station engineer. Founders included activist, Jim Beatson, journalist Marian Wilkinson, Arts Administrator, John Stanwell and academic Alan Knight. Announcer John Woods launched the station with The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" at Midday 8 December 1975. Along with 2JJJ and 3RRR, 4ZZZ has been a major promoter of independent and alternative music providing exposure for many Australian and international artists. Through the late 1970s and early 1980s the station also produced many groundbreaking and award winning features and documentaries.

3ZZZ (3 Triple Zed) is an ethnic community radio station in Melbourne, Australia. They broadcast programs in over 70 languages on FM 92.3 MHz.

3ZZZ is Australia's largest community multilingual radio station, providing an independent, alternative and local voice in the media. With estimates at more than 400,000 listeners, 3ZZZ broadcasts 24 hours per day on 92.3 on the FM band. 3ZZZ's radio signal which is broadcast from its radio tower located on Mount Dandenong, covers Greater Melbourne and includes areas of Geelong, Macedon, Mornington Peninsula. History

3ZZZ began regular broadcasting on 92.3 MHz (the old 3EON frequency) in June 1989.

3ZZZ was successful in a licence application that was contested at the time by a Spanish language broadcasting group known as "The Voice of Hispano America (VHA-FM)".

The community broadcast licence was granted to 3ZZZ on the basis of its diversity of languages and communities represented.

100.9 ZZZ FM

Triple Z (call sign: 2ZZZ) is a commercial radio station covering New South Wales' Far North Coast, and is part of the Broadcast Operations Group. The station targets the 18-39 market with a mostly top 40 hits format, though in networking hours the format shifts to a more adult contemporary mix.

It began broadcasting on January 1, 1994, from its Goonellabah studios. First announcer on air was Dave Williams, followed by Vashti Stewart, Neil Marks & Mike O'Reilly. The first song played on air was "The Heat Is On" by Glenn Frey.

Triple Z is live 6am to 6pm weekdays and 6am to 12pm weekends, switching to a network feed outside these hours.
