Kasha

In the English language, kasha is a term for the pseudocereal buckwheat. In Central and Eastern Europe, especially Russia and Poland, kasha is a dish made of any kind of grains boiled in water or milk, possibly with additives, i.e., a porridge.

The largest gross consumption per capita is in Russia, with 15 kg (33 lb) per year, and Ukraine, with 12 kg (26 lb) per year. The share of buckwheat in the total consumption of cereals in Russia is 20%.

This English-language usage probably originated with Jewish immigrants, as did the form קאַשי kashi (technically plural, literally translated as "porridges").

The word generally refers to roasted whole-grain buckwheat or buckwheat groats. However, in Slavic Europe, it refers to porridge in general and can be made from buckwheat or any cereal wheat, barley, oats, millet and rye. At least 1,000 years old, kasha is one of the oldest known dishes in Central European and Eastern European cuisine.

In Russian, buckwheat is referred to formally as гречиха (grechikha) and buckwheat grain and buckwheat groats as гречневая крупа (grechnevaya krupa). Informally buckwheat grain and buckwheat groats are called гречка (grechka), and the porridge made from buckwheat groats is known as гречневая каша (grechnevaya kasha). In Polish, buckwheat porridge is referred to as kasza gryczana. Annual (2013) per capita consumption of groats in Poland is approx. 1.56 kg (3.4 lb) per year (130 g (4.6 oz) a month).

Lovely (Jocelyn Enriquez album)

Lovely is the first album by singer Jocelyn Enriquez. It was released in 1994 on Classified Records. Lovely includes the hit singles "I've Been Thinking About You" (#80 on the Billboard Hot 100), "Make It Last Forever", "Big Love" and "Only".

During this album, Enriquez was labeled as a sell-out by the Filipino community because of her Spanish rendition of "I've Been Thinking About You". The single was re-recorded in Spanish due to a trend in freestyle dance music at the time and to appeal to the huge Latin demographic of the freestyle community. The Spanish lyrics were also translated by Monica Lisa Bernard, formerly of the freestyle trio, Heaven (With All My Heart). Enriquez's personal favorite song off the album is "Big Love", due to the Donna Summer relevance.

"Lovely" was also re-released and re-mastered in 1999 and noted as "Lovely" (Digital Remaster). "Lovely" is the fifteenth episode of the sixth season of the American comedy-drama series, Desperate Housewives, and the 126th overall episode of the series. It originally aired on ABC in the United States on February 21, 2010. In the episode, former stripper Robin Gallagher (Julie Benz) interacts with each of the women of Wisteria Lane, drastically affecting their lives. She grows particularly close to Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany), with whom she shares a kiss during a bar outing.

The episode was written by David Schladweiler and directed by David Warren. It included the second in a string of guest appearances by Benz, who had recently departed as a regular from the Showtime drama series, Dexter. "Lovely" introduced an ongoing storyline of Katherine exploring her sexuality, a subplot which was met with enthusiasm by actress Delany. The pairing between Robin and Katherine was the first lesbian relationship in Desperate Housewives.

"Lovely" received generally mixed reviews, with detractors criticizing it for failing to advance the show's plotlines. According to Nielsen ratings, the episode was seen by 10.9 million viewers, and matched the series low rating from the previous episode, "The Glamorous Life", although the subsequent episode, "The Chase", drew even poorer ratings. Viewership for "Lovely" suffered because of competition from the 2010 Winter Olympics.
