Lovelorn

Lovelorn is the debut studio album by the Norwegian/German symphonic metal band Leaves' Eyes, released in 2004. Almost all vocals on the album are by Liv Kristine, but there are also some death growls by Alexander Krull.

Lovelorn Dolls

Lovelorn Dolls is a Belgian female-fronted rock/metal band founded by guitarist Corpus Christi and singer Kristell Lowagie.

History

Lovelorn Dolls consists of the duo Ladyhell (Kristell Lowagie)(vocals, Arrangements, Words) and Corpus Christi (Music, Programming, Guitars, Production).

They mix Alternative, Electro and Rock and are inspired by the visual styles of Tim Burton and Marilyn Manson and musically by Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, The Birthday Massacre and Garbage.

The EP “An Intense Feeling Of Affection” (2011) is the first result of the duet only just after six months from its own birth.

The first compositions are accompanied by powerful drum machines and fronted by Ladyhell’s versatile voice, close to Björk, Liv Kristine and Anneke van Giersbergen. The cover art of the album is by Gogo Melone.

Early 2012, they recorded their first album “The House Of Wonders” and meet the producer Victor Love (Omega Lithium, Dope Stars Inc.). Victor perfectly fits the atmosphere of Lovelorn and will give the sound that the band needed to go further. This album is due to be released in Winter 2013 under Alfa Matrix label.

Lovelorn (film)

Lovelorn (Turkish: Gönül Yarası) is a 2005 Turkish drama film, written and directed by Yavuz Turgul, starring Şener Şen as a teacher recently returned to Istanbul who must protect a nightclub singer from her violent ex-husband. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on January 7, 2005 (2005-01-07), won awards at film festivals in Antalya, Palm Springs and New York.

Plot

Nazım, a primary school teacher, returns to Istanbul from his posting in the east . He temporarily takes on a job as a taxi driver with the help of his friend Atakan. One night he picks up Dünya, a singer at a club and after striking up a friendship, becomes her driver. While Nazım is waiting for Dünya to finish her performance one night, she is attacked by a man. Dünya is injured, and is rushed to the hospital by Nazım.

Dünya reveals that he is her ex-husband Halil, who wants to take away their daughter Melek. Nazım takes Dünya and Melek into his home but Halil continues to stalk them. Halil reveals to Nazım that he still loves Dünya and wants to remarry her to start over a new life. After he gives his word, Dünya and Melek leave with them. Meanwhile, Nazım faces up to his failed obligations to his own children Mehmet and Piraye.
