Lost Without You

"Lost Without You" is a pop ballad written by Bridget Benenate and Matthew Gerrard, produced by Gerrard for Delta Goodrem's first album Innocent Eyes (2003). It was released as the album's second single on 28 February 2003 (see 2003 in music) in Australia and in the middle of 2003 for the rest of the world. The song became Goodrem's second number-one single in Australia and also peaked in the top ten in New Zealand, the UK and Sweden. Goodrem re-mixed and recorded the song for the United States and the song was released there on 28 June 2005 (see 2005 in music) as a digital download.

Chart performance

"Lost Without You" was released to Australian radio early February 2003 and was the most added song to radio for that week. The song debuted on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart on 10 March 2003 at number-one knocking "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera off the top spot. It was certified gold in its first week by ARIA and it became Goodrem's second consecutive number-one single. On its second week in the charts, it was knocked off the number-one spot by "All the Things She Said" by t.A.T.u., but then in its third week it re-gained the number-one spot spending a total of two weeks at the peak. It was then knocked off the top again by "All the Things She Said". "Lost Without You" spent twelve weeks in the top ten, eighteen weeks in the top fifty, thirty-two weeks in the top one hundred, was certified double platinum by ARIA and was the seventh highest selling single in Australia for 2003. The song debuted at number thirty-one on the New Zealand RIANZ Singles Chart on 29 June 2003. It took eleven weeks to get to its peak position of four and it spent nineteen weeks in the charts.

  • Chamonix

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, more commonly known simply as Chamonix (formerly also spelled Chamounix), is a commune in the Haute-Savoie département in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It was the site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924. The commune's population of around 9,800 ranks 865th within the country of France.

Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and most notably the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and is known as the "gateway to the European Cascades." The north side of the summit of Mont Blanc, and therefore the summit itself are part of the village of Chamonix. To the south side, the situation is different depending on the country. Italy considers that the border passes through the top. France considers that the boundary runs along the rocky Tournette under the summit cap, placing it entirely in French territory. The south side was in France, assigned to the commune of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains sharing the summit with its neighbor Chamonix. It is this situation "for France," which is found on the French IGN maps. The Chamonix commune is well known and loved by skiers and mountain enthusiasts of all types, and via the cable car lift to the Aiguille du Midi it is possible to access the world famous off-piste skirun of the Vallée Blanche. With an area of 245 km2 (95 sq mi), Chamonix is the fourth largest commune in mainland France.

Chamonix NG Cars is a Brazilian automobile manufacturer based in São Paulo. Until about 2011 it was known as Chamonix Indústria e Comércio and located in Jarinu (SP). The company was founded in 1987 by Milton Masteguin, formerly with Puma Cars as constructor of racing vehicles, and the US-American automotive engineer Chuck Beck.

The company is focused on creating 1950s style fibre glass replicas of Porsche cars with current Volkswagen technology. The company exports worldwide and body kits are also available.

Production started with the Spyder 550. In 1991 followed the Super 90 Cabriolet and in 1993 and 1995 the models Speedster and Spyder 550S.

The company was also involved in projects of Autolatina, Fiat, Lada and more recently in the development of the Lobini, a Brazilian sports car.

  • 1924 Winter Olympics

The 1924 Winter Olympics, officially known as the I Olympic Winter Games (French: Les Iers Jeux olympiques d'hiver), were a winter multi-sport event which was held in 1924 in Chamonix, France. Originally called Semaine Internationale des Sports d'Hiver ("International Winter Sports Week") and held in association with the 1924 Summer Olympics, the sports competitions were held at the foot of Mont Blanc in Chamonix, and Haute-Savoie, France between January 25 and February 5, 1924. The Games were organized by the French Olympic Committee, and were in retrospect designated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the I Olympic Winter Games.

The tradition of holding the Winter Olympics in the same year as the Summer Olympics would continue until 1992, after which the current practice of holding a Winter Olympics in the second year after each Summer Olympics began.

Although Figure Skating had been an Olympic event in both London and Antwerp, and Ice Hockey had been an event in Antwerp, the winter sports had always been limited by the season. In 1921, at the convention of the IOC in Lausanne, there was a call for equality for winter sports, and after much discussion it was decided to organize an "international week of winter sport" in 1924 in Chamonix.
