Lost Boys Games

Lost Boys Games was a Dutch video game developer; it was a subsidiary of the large Dutch multimedia conglomerate Lost Boys. In 1999 Lost Boys Games merged with two other Dutch-based developers (Orange Games of Jazz Jackrabbit fame and Digital Infinity) to form Guerrilla Games, that made name with the Killzone series. Sony Computer Entertainment acquired Guerrilla Games in 2005. The logo of Lost Boys was a white cactus on a red diamond-shaped background.

Lost Boys first made name with the creation of the website for Big Brother - a television show by John de Mol, that was first broadcast in The Netherlands. It also created Big Brother: The Game, that was no more than a Pac-Man clone. Lost Boys Games also had a separate handhelds-division called Formula. Under this label it would release four titles, two each for Nintendo's Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance handheld gaming consoles. However, the first game that showed the 'Formula game development' logo was The Lost Ride, released for Philips CD-i in 1998. In the same year also Dodgem Arena, "the first Dutch PS1 title on the shelves", was released under the Formula label. The logo of Formula was the same as of Lost Boys Games, only the diamond-shaped background was green instead of red.

Lost boys (Mormon fundamentalism)

"Lost boys" is a term used for young men who have been excommunicated or pressured to leave polygamous Mormon fundamentalism groups such as the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS). They are pressured to leave by adult men to reduce competition for wives within such sects, usually when they are between the ages of 13 and 21.

Background

FLDS men are each expected to marry at least three wives. Since birth rates for boys and girls are roughly equal, and women do not enter the community in large numbers, there are not enough women for all men to do this.

While some boys leave by their own choice, many are ostensibly banished for conduct such as watching a movie, watching television, playing football, or talking to a girl. Some boys are told not to return unless they can return with a wife. One estimate is that between 400 and 1,000 boys and young men have been pressured to leave for such reasons. There are also young women who have left or been pressured to leave because they did not want to be part of polygamous marriages.

Lost Boys: The Tribe

Lost Boys: The Tribe is a 2008 horror film and the sequel to the successful 1987 American vampire horror film, The Lost Boys, directed by P. J. Pesce. It stars Tad Hilgenbrink, Angus Sutherland, Autumn Reeser and Corey Feldman.

Plot

Chris Emerson (Tad Hilgenbrink), a young former surfing pro, and his younger sister Nicole (Autumn Reeser) move to Luna Bay following the death of their parents, to live in a house owned by their Aunt Jillian (Gabrielle Rose). Chris leaves his address at the home of Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman), the town's surfboard shaper, in hopes of getting a job. Chris is approached at their new home by former pro surfer Shane Powers (Angus Sutherland), who invites him to a party that night.

Chris and Nicole go to the party, where Shane and his friends Kyle (Shaun Sipos), Erik (Merwin Mondesir), and Jon (Kyle Cassie) are entertaining themselves with the human guests. Chris showers with a sexy girl named Lisa (Moneca Delain) and Shane gets Nicole alone, chats with her for a bit, and then tricks her into drinking his blood. When Chris learns that Nicole has been with Shane, he angrily, and protectively, takes her home, where she begins to manifest vampiric strength and rage. But before she hurts Chris, she is knocked out by Edgar, who reveals that he is a vampire hunter, and Nicole has been infected with vampirism. Chris throws Edgar out of the house. Then, Lisa shows up and pretends to chat with Chris for a bit before she finally tries to seduce and feed on him. In fending her off, he accidentally impales her on a mounted rack of antlers, killing her explosively when she turns into stone and explodes.
