Logan Lagoon
Logan Lagoon is a 2172 ha wetland Conservation Area on Flinders Island, the largest of the Furneaux Group at the eastern end of Bass Strait, which is part of the Australian state of Tasmania.
History
The lagoon area was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1968, with additional blocks of adjacent land added subsequently. In 1982 it was designated a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. In 1996 it was declared a Shorebird Network Site.
Description
Logan Lagoon is a coastal wetland complex at the south-eastern corner of Flinders Island, lying some 5 km east of the village of Lady Barron. It is isolated from the sea by a large sand bar which is infrequently breached by either high water levels in the lagoon or by rough seas eroding the bar. The water in the lagoon is generally 1–2 m deep and fluctuates with rainfall, occasionally drying out. The 75 km2 catchment of the lagoon is mainly agricultural land.
Flora
The eastern side of the lagoon has a dense coastal shrubland of coast wattle and coast tea-tree interspersed with grassy patches. Where the land is largely protected from bushfires there is a mixture of forest and scrub dominated by Smithton peppermint, tea-tree, silver banksia and Oyster Bay pine. Some manna gum occurs on dune ridges. In swampy areas there are thickets of coast paperbark. Around the lagoon margins are patches of golden speargrass, coastal tussock grassland, salt-tolerant herbs and samphire.

Logan (Iroquois leader)
Logan the Orator (c. 1723?–1780) was a Cayuga orator and war leader born of one of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. After his 1760s move to the Ohio Country, he became affiliated with the Mingo, a tribe formed from Seneca, Cayuga, Lenape and other remnant peoples. He took revenge for family members killed by Virginian Long knives in 1774 in what is known as the Yellow Creek Massacre. His actions against settlers on the frontier helped spark Dunmore's War later that year.
Logan became known for a speech, later known as Logan's Lament, which he reportedly delivered after the war. Scholars dispute important details about Logan, including his original name and whether the words of Logan's Lament were his.

Lagoon (band)
Lagoon is an indie rock band which was founded in Tucson, Arizona in 2003. The band is composed of David Ziegler-Voll as the band's lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter, guitarist Patrick McMahon, bassist Jacob Chattman, and drummer Marisa Chattman.
Background
In 1996, guitarist and singer-songwriter David Ziegler-Voll was playing in the short-lived Albuquerque, New Mexico band called Outro 60 Seconds, with bassist and high-school friend Michael Hester. A year later, the two moved to Tucson, Arizona, and founded another short-lived band known as The Darlingtons with drummer Mathieu Lopez. After the demise of the Darlingtons, Ziegler-Voll and Lopez founded a band called SassyStarX with bassist Woodie Polk, who was just 18 years old at the time. Formed in 2000, SassyStarX featured some of the same sonic elements which would come comprise the signature Lagoon sound, but with a bit edgier, more punk twist. In 2001, however, Lopex had a falling out with the rest of the band. He decided to quit, going on to play guitar in what would eventually become The Year of Acceleration. He was replaced by Erik Thybony.

Lagoon (ラグーン) is a top-view action/adventure video game for the Sharp X68000 and Super NES, in which Nasir (Nassel in the Japanese version), Champion of Light, must investigate the source of the world's corrupted water and return peace to Lakeland.
Lagoon is an action role-playing game with a fantasy setting, very similar to the early Ys games, combining real-time action gameplay with RPG elements such as experience levels and equipment management. The player travels through an assortment of towns, landscapes and dungeons while battling a variety of enemies ranging from insects to giant bosses, and gaining experience and items along the way.
Story
Lakeland is a prosperous country full of many people and their families. All was great, until something bad happened. It seems that Lakeland is having a bit of a water problem: Muddy Water. An evil being known as Zerah has polluted all of Lakeland's rivers and lakes, making people very sick, and some dying. He does this in hopes to release the Evil Spirit, which is hiding underneath Lagoon Castle, so Zerah lifts Lagoon Castle into the clouds to where no one can reach it. With all this, Lakeland needs a hero.
