Loaded (Primal Scream song)

"Loaded" is a 1990 song recorded by the rock band Primal Scream. It was the first single released from the group's 1991 breakthrough album, Screamadelica. It is a remix of Primal Scream's earlier song, "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have".

Inspiration and composition

Primal Scream approached Andrew Weatherall after a favourable review of the second Primal Scream album in the 'Boys Own' football fanzine. He was asked to remix "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have", a song from the band's eponymous second album, Primal Scream and by the second or third attempt Loaded was born — his first visit to a recording studio.

At the start of the song, Weatherall added an audio sample of Peter Fonda from the film The Wild Angels.

Loaded (Brotha Lynch Hung album)

Loaded is the 2nd studio album by West Coast rapper, Brotha Lynch Hung. It was released in 1997. The album most notably features guest appearances from Kokane, E-40 and Ice-T. It is considered by many to be his best album.

Synopsis

Tristan Price is a wealthy and privileged teenager who seemingly has everything he could ever want, money, loving parents and a beautiful girlfriend. However, his perfect life is turned upside down by the arrival of Sebastian, a handsome, charismatic, ruthless drug dealer. As Tristan is sucked into a seedy underworld of drugs, sex and violence he begins to realise his new best friend is, in fact, his worst enemy.

Midway (fair)

A midway at a fair (commonly an American fair such as a county or state fair) is the location where amusement rides, entertainment and fast-food booths cluster.

The term originated from the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago, Illinois, in 1893. It was the first world's fair with an area for amusements which was strictly separated from the exhibition halls. This area, which was concentrated on the city's Midway Plaisance, included amusement rides (among them the original Ferris Wheel), belly dancers, balloon rides, and other attractions.

After the Exposition, the term midway came into use as a common noun in the United States and Canada to refer to the area for amusements at a county or state fair, circus, festival, or amusement park.
