Live at Woburn is a posthumous live album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, released on July 28, 2009 by Dagger Records. The concert was captured from a recording made from the stage soundboard on July 6, 1968 at the Woburn Music Festival in Woburn, Bedfordshire, England. Jimi and the Experience had not been back to England since December 1967 (except for an appearance on the television show "It Must Be Dusty!" in June), so the concert was eagerly anticipated. The recording is raw and overdriven sometimes, but effectively presents all of the voices and instruments on stage.
All songs were written by Jimi Hendrix, except where noted.
Those girls look so pretty sitting in their lawn chairs
With their acid-washed jeans and their teased-up hair
I like the one in the heavy metal T-shirt
She got me so nervous my stomach is starting to hurt
I tried to kiss her in the fourth dimension
But the teacher gave me five days detention
I tried to kiss her in the fourth dimension
But the teacher gave me five days detention
Don't listen to your left brain
Don't listen to the right
Just listen to your body
When we're out on Friday night
She looked like a gift on Christmas day
With her blue eye shadow and a bottle of hairspray
I tried to get into her pants
But the teacher destroyed my teenage romance
I tried to get into her pants
But the teacher destroyed my teenage romance
Don't listen to your left brain
Don't listen to the right
Just listen to your body
When we're out on Friday night
Don't listen to your left brain
Don't listen to the right
Just listen to your body
When we're out on Friday night
