The Songs
Live Trax may refer to:
Live Trax is a live compilation album of songs from the Dave Matthews Band's Live Trax series. The album was released on July 31, 2007, and is sold exclusively at Starbucks Coffee locations. A total of nine tracks are featured on the compilation—one from each of the nine Live Trax volumes released between November 2004 and June 2007.
The album was promoted by both Starbucks and XM Satellite Radio, along with the promotion of XM's new station, Starbucks XM Café. During the first month of the album's release, Starbucks featured in-store sweepstakes for customers who signed up for an XM Radio trial, where they would be entered to win various prizes, including Dave Matthews Band concert tickets, and passes for a meet-and-greet session with Dave Matthews, himself. In addition to the sweepstakes, XM featured special episodes of the Starbucks XM Café radio show The Daily Grind, featuring highlights from the album during the entire week following the album's release.
Live Trax is a series of live albums released by Dave Matthews Band's Bama Rags label. The albums in the series feature performances by Dave Matthews Band and also Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. The majority of the releases are not sold in commercial stores, but rather by means of order or digital download from the band's official website. The name Live Trax is a reference to the former Trax Nightclub in Charlottesville, Virginia, where the band played over one-hundred twenty shows during their early years from 1991-1996.
Only the sixth volume of the series was sold outside of the band's website, due to a high demand in the Boston, Massachusetts area. The album was sold in stores in addition to the band's online store. In July 2007, Starbucks released a nine-track compilation of the series, simply titled Live Trax, featuring selected tracks from the first nine volumes of the series.
I must confess
You are the picture that I
Rape in my head in my mind
In my dreams
Never been said
Never have I told you
You are the picture that I rape
Don't even try to deny
What we felt inside
You and i getting high
Agreements 'n' deals behind my back
Did you abuse
Me or the other girl
When you did what you did
Who you really are
Never been said
Never did you tell me
