Supafly

SUPAFLY (also known as Supafly Inc.) is a British dance act composed of Panos Liassi (Mister P) and Andrew Tumi (wOne).

Musical career

Supafly is best known for 2005's "Let's Get Down" - which was a club hit around the world and used by the Australian television network FOX8 as their summer theme song; and for "Moving Too Fast" in late 2006, which sampled from the Phil Collins' hit "Another Day in Paradise". Supafly picked up the Best Newcomer Award at the 2006 Urban Music Awards.

Supafly's sound is a blend of reggae/hip hop/ and dance. Supafly's success has led them to sold out tours, performing to crowds of up to 25,000.

Now London based, the essence of their sun-filled sound developed partly from Mister P and wOne’s stint in Australia. Inspired by the sunshine and the live music scene in Melbourne, their time away proved to be an inspiration for Supafly's signature tune, "Let's Get Down". It was written on one of the hottest days in Australia's history.

wOne

wOne is an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer. He has collaborated on several seminal dance hits and enjoyed a successful career with Supafly spanning more than ten years. wOne is currently in Ghana, West Africa exploring his musical roots and working on a new concept that fuses music and creativity to aid African development.

"Supafly" is a single by British artist Fugative. It was released on 17 January 2010 on digital download on Hard2Beat Records. The track charted at number 48 on the UK Singles Chart.

There were six remixes available on digital download of "Supafly" - the longest is the "Static Shokx Remix", with runs for 6:06. Other remixes include the "A1 Bassline Remix", "Cookie Monsta Remix", "Roska Remix" & the "Bass Slammers Remix". On the other single of "Supafly" there is the "Tek-One Remix".

Little

Little (automobile)

The Little was two automobiles built in Flint, Michigan, from 1912 – 15 and the company, Little Motor Car Company, founded by William H. Little and William C. Durant that built them.

Company

Little Motor Car Company was an automobile manufactured founded primarily by William H. Little and William C. Durant that operated from 1911 to 1913.

After the Panic of 1910–11 and lack of cash from overexpansion that led to General Motors's Board to oust Durant, Durant began forming other car companies including Chevrolet and Mason Motors. Durant purchased the failing Flint Wagon Works and used the assets to set up the Little Motor Car Company and Mason. The Little Motor Car Company was incorporated on October 19, 1911, by Charles Begole, William Ballenger, William H. Little, and Durant. A.B.C. Hardy was appointed to manage the Little plant. The Little company was charged with building a small car to fill the void left by Buick Motor's discontinuing the Model 10 and compete with the Ford.

Little 500

The Little 500 (also known popularly as the "Little Five"), is a bicycle race held annually during the third weekend of April at Bill Armstrong Stadium on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. It is attended by more than 25,000 fans each April. The race was founded in 1951 by Howdy Wilcox Jr., Executive Director of the Indiana University Student Foundation, who modeled the race after the Indianapolis 500, which his father had won in 1919. Racers compete in teams of four, racing relay-style for 200 laps (50 miles) along a quarter-mile (440 yards) cinder track. Thirty-three teams are selected in qualifications trials to compete in the main race. Money raised by the event goes towards a scholarship fund for working IU students.

Events surrounding the race

Billed as "The World's Greatest College Weekend," the race has expanded into a whole week of activities since its original founding; the Women's Little 500 (100 laps, or 25 miles) was first held in 1988 and continues to be run each year, and other events such as the Little Fifty Running Relay Race and Alumni Races add to the festivities. Infamous cyclist Lance Armstrong said that the race was "the coolest event I ever attended." During his run for presidency the then senator Barack Obama made an unannounced visit to the Little 500 woman's race in 2008. The race has raised more than $1 million in scholarship money over the years.

Jana Kramer

Jana Rae Kramer (born December 2, 1983) is an American actress and country music singer. She is best known for her role as Alex Dupre on the television series One Tree Hill. Kramer began a country music career in 2012 with the single "Why Ya Wanna" from her self-titled debut album for Elektra Records.

Early life

Kramer was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States, to Nora and Martin Kramer. She is of German Chilean, Croatian and French ancestry. Jana has one brother Steve who is a police officer. Jana attended Rochester Adams High School. She speaks some German.

Career

2002–11: acting career and record deal

In 2002, Kramer made her acting debut in the low-budget independent horror film Dead/Undead. The following year Kramer guest appeared on All My Children, which marked Kramer's television debut. Kramer has since continued to appear in a number of television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and CSI: NY. She has also had small supporting roles in films such as Click, Prom Night and Spring Breakdown.

Love (Cirque du Soleil)

Love is a 2006 theatrical production by Cirque du Soleil which combines the re-produced and re-imagined music of the Beatles with an interpretive, circus-based artistic and athletic stage performance. The show plays at a specially built theatre at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

A joint venture between Cirque and the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd, it is the first theatrical production that Apple Corps Ltd. has partnered in. Love is written and directed by Dominic Champagne. Music directors are Sir George Martin, producer of nearly all of the Beatles' records, and his son, record producer Giles Martin. A soundtrack album of the show was released in November 2006.

History

The project arose from discussions in 2000 between George Harrison and his friend Guy Laliberté, one of Cirque's founders. Three years of negotiations between surviving members of the Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, The Beatles widows Olivia Harrison (representing George Harrison) and Yoko Ono (representing John Lennon), the Beatles' holding company Apple Corps Ltd. and the MGM Mirage culminated in an agreement.
