Listen to My Heart is an album by Nancy LaMott, released in 1995. The title track, which was written by David Friedman, became LaMott's signature tune. LaMott recorded the album in only two days in March 1995, postponing a hysterectomy for uterine cancer.
My female desire
So glad that you came
Your presence has touched me
My whole world has changed
I'm walking on water
You strengthen my faith
It feels like i feel ya
My knee's drop
Afraid to pray, pray, pray
Just like a perfect work of art
Picasso on display
Girl you're my inspiration
You're my idol
Or the bible
And i must confess
Your love is the best
You're my idol
And only i know
How to worship you girl
I'll never leave
I'll never leave
That's where i will be, oh oh oh
That's where i will be
Your loves like a temple
Sacred and precious
You have my heart
And that's my confession
I found the truth
And i found it in you
Everything you teach me
How you
Just like a perfect work of art
Picasso on display
Girl you're my inspiration
You're my idol (You're my idol)
Or the bible (Or the bible)
And i must confess
Your love is the best
You're my idol (You're my idol)
And only i know
How to worship you girl
And you're my
You're my idol (You're my idol)
Or the bible (Or the bible)
And i must confess
Your love is the best (Oh)
You're my idol
And only i know (Only I know)
How to worship you girl
I'll never leave
I'll never leave
That's where i will be, oh oh oh
That's where i will be
Had a vision i saw you girl
And i couldn't even breathe
My body shakes
There's no time
So i pray to the universe
How long will it be?
How long will it take you?
You're my idol (Idol)
Or the bible (Or the bible)
And i must confess
You're love is the best (You love is the best, baby)
You're my idol
And only i know
How to worship you girl
And you're my
You're my idol (My idol)
Or the bible (Or the bible, oh)
Girl i must confess
Your love is the best (Your love is the best)
You're my idol (You're my idol)
And only i know
How to worship you girl
I'll never leave
I'll never leave
That's where i will be, oh oh oh
