Gwibber

Gwibber /ˈɡwɪbər/ is a microblogging client for the GNOME desktop environment. It brings the most popular social networking services like Facebook, Twitter, etc. into a single window and gives ability to control communication through one single application. It was created by Ryan Paul, a writer for Ars Technica.

It only runs on Linux and is written in Python using PyGTK. It ships with Ubuntu 10.04 and above. Gwibber supports multiple social networking sites in a combined social stream with URL shortening, saved searches, and a multicolumn UI.

In 2013 it was renamed to Friends and the frontend was rewritten in QML.

Friends Original TV Soundtrack was an album released by WEA in 1995 featuring songs from the TV sitcom Friends. The songs were not originals written for the series but rather were tracks either used directly in the show or "inspired" by the show. The album also featured small samples of spoken dialogue from the show's first season.

Friends (season 9)

The ninth season of Friends, an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, premiered on NBC on September 26, 2002. Friends was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The season contains 24 episodes and concluded airing on May 15, 2003.

Season synopsis

As Rachel journeys into motherhood, Monica and Chandler continue to try to have a child of their own but discover that they are unlikely to conceive when they go to a fertility specialist. Phoebe begins dating Mike Hannigan, who Joey set her up with at the last minute. Rachel moves out of Ross's apartment with Emma and moves back in with Joey when the two of them have a fight over them dating other people. Towards the end of the season Rachel finds herself developing romantic feelings for Joey after having a dream about the two of them together. While giving some paleontologists a tour of the city Ross finds himself attracted to one named Charlie who ends up going out with Joey. In the season finale, the group travels to Barbados to hear Ross give a keynote speech at a paleontology conference where Mike proposes to Phoebe and Charlie ends up kissing Ross; Joey seeing this decides to go ahead with a relationship with Rachel, after she had confessed her feelings for him.

List of 7400 series integrated circuits

The following is a list of 7400 series digital logic integrated circuits. The SN7400 series originated with TTL integrated circuits made by Texas Instruments. Because of the popularity of these parts, they were second-sourced by other manufacturers who kept the 7400 sequence number as an aid to identification of compatible parts. As well, compatible TTL parts originated by other manufacturers were second sourced in the TI product line under a 74xx series part number.

Just the base numbers are listed below, that is: parts are listed here as if made in the basic, standard power and speed, TTL form, although many later parts were never manufactured with that technology.

Notes

Some TTL logic parts were made with an extended military-specification temperature range. These parts are prefixed with 54 instead of 74 in the part number. A short-lived 64 prefix on Texas Instruments parts indicated an industrial temperature range; this prefix had been dropped from the TI literature by 1973. Most recent 7400 series parts are fabricated in CMOS or BiCMOS technology rather than TTL. Surface mount parts with a single gate (often in a 5-pin or 6-pin package) are prefixed with 741G instead of 74.

Information held under Section 142 of the Education Act 2002

List 99 was for 80 years a controversial secret register of people barred from working with children by the Department of Education and Skills (DfES) In the United Kingdom. The list contained the names, aliases, dates of birth and national insurance numbers of those people deemed not suitable to work with children in schools, social work and voluntary settings.,

In the United Kingdom information held under Section 142 of the Education Act 2002 (formerly known as List 99 ) was not primarily concerned with child protection, but section 142 allows the Secretary of State to prohibit certain persons from working in schools. Section 143 prohibits a person from arranging to hire any other person who is subject to a direction under section 142 to work in a school.

Exclusion

Adults convicted of serious sexual offences committed against children under the age of 16 since 1995 were automatically placed on List 99, additional reasons for inclusion were sexual or violent behaviour towards children, abuses of trust, drug offences, any violent crime (for example, conviction of rioting or football hooliganism), stealing school property and deception in job applications. Medical conditions such as drug or alcohol abuse and mental illness were grounds for exclusion.

The creators originally intended many of these characters as one-time jokesters or for fulfilling needed functions in the town. Theophrastus

Theophrastus (/ˌθiːəˈfræstəs/; Greek: Θεόφραστος Theόphrastos; c. 371 – c. 287 BC), a Greek native of Eresos in Lesbos, was the successor to Aristotle in the Peripatetic school. He came to Athens at a young age and initially studied in Plato's school. After Plato's death, he attached himself to Aristotle. Aristotle bequeathed to Theophrastus his writings and designated him as his successor at the Lyceum. Theophrastus presided over the Peripatetic school for thirty-six years, during which time the school flourished greatly. He is often considered the "father of botany" for his works on plants. After his death, the Athenians honoured him with a public funeral. His successor as head of the school was Strato of Lampsacus.

The interests of Theophrastus were wide ranging, extending from biology and physics to ethics and metaphysics. His two surviving botanical works, Enquiry into Plants (Historia Plantarum) and On the Causes of Plants, were an important influence on Renaissance science. There are also surviving works On Moral Characters, On Sensation, On Stones, and fragments on Physics and Metaphysics. In philosophy, he studied grammar and language and continued Aristotle's work on logic. He also regarded space as the mere arrangement and position of bodies, time as an accident of motion, and motion as a necessary consequence of all activity. In ethics, he regarded happiness as depending on external influences as well as on virtue and famously said that "life is ruled by fortune, not wisdom."
