Let U Go may refer to:

Let U Go (Ashley Parker Angel song)

"Let U Go" is the first single from Ashley Parker Angel's debut solo album Soundtrack to Your Life. In the U.S., the song debuted at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the third highest debut of the year. The song moved up to its peak of #12 in its second week, while reaching the top 10 of the Pop 100 companion chart at #9. The song was written about Angel's relationship with his now-ex-fiancee Tiffany Lynn. Angel has said that the relationship has, at times, been rough, but that he and Tiffany are meant to be together. Dr. Luke and Max Martin produced the song.

Music video

This music video takes place in two places. In the beginning it seems Ashley and his band are in a basement. He begins to play the song and the walls begin to shake. After that the walls fall and the band ends up in a club with screaming fans all around. He moves to a secluded area and the music stops. It begins again as a strobe light begins to flash. The song starts to end and the club changes to the front of a theater which says "Ashley Parker Angel, One Night Only". The song ends and Ashley throws his guitar over his shoulder and walks away. It premiered on TRL on March 14, 2006 and went to number one soon after.

Let U Go (ATB song)

"Let U Go" is a song originally written by the Canadian musicians Ken Harrison and Robert Michaels as "Wrong to Let You Go". This pop-rock song, recorded by the Wild Strawberries, the band consisting of Harrison and his wife Roberta Carter, first appeared on volume 3 of the compilation album series Women & Songs, then on the Wild Strawberries album Twist (2000). German dance DJ and producer ATB remixed the song and released it twice as a single, it being ATB's 6th and 15th single releases.

The first version of the song was released on CD 1 (The World of Movement) of ATB's second album Two Worlds, which was released in 2000. The song bore a similar sound to prior singles "The Fields of Love" and "The Summer" from the same album.

A year later ATB remixed the song again for a single release. By doing this he stepped away from his traditional sound and created a harder dance track, leaving out pitch-bends and guitar sounds. Apart from these changes, a second verse was also added to the song and a new main-hook was created. The single became ATB's biggest hit in his home country Germany, as it was his first, and only, top ten single, reaching number seven. It peaked at number 34 in the United Kingdom. Eventually this version of the song appeared on his third album Dedicated, which also contained additional songs produced from the now-ongoing collaboration between Tanneberger and the Wild Strawberries.

Operation U-Go

The U Go offensive, or Operation C (ウ号作戦), was the Japanese offensive launched in March 1944 against forces of the British Empire in the northeast Indian region of Manipur. Aimed at the Brahmaputra valley, through the two towns of Imphal and Kohima, the offensive along with the overlapping Ha Go offensive was one of the last major Japanese offensives during the Second World War. The offensive culminated in the Battles of Imphal and Kohima where the Japanese and their allies were first held and then pushed back.

Origins of the Japanese plan

In 1942, the Japanese Army had driven the British, Indian and Chinese troops out of Burma. When heavy monsoon rains stopped campaigning, the British and Indian troops had occupied Imphal, the capital of Manipur state. This lay in a plain astride one of the few practicable routes over the jungle-covered mountains which separated India and Burma. The Japanese commander in Burma, Lieutenant General Shōjirō Iida, was asked for his opinion on whether a renewed advance should be made into India after the rains ended. After conferring with his divisional commanders, Iida reported that it would be unwise to do so, because of the difficult terrain and supply problems.
