Anthony Parrino, better known by his stage name Elite, is an American hip hop record Producer, and recording artist best known for his work with Roc Nation artist J. Cole and the Ruff Ryders recording label in the early 2000s. Elite is from Byram, CT and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Career

In the summer of 2000, Elite started working as an intern for Ruff Ryders Entertainment and eventually caught the ear of rapper Drag-On placing his first beat on the Cradle 2 the Grave (soundtrack) in 2002. working as a in house Producer for Ruff Ryders, Elite went on to produce "Shoot Outs" for Jadakiss featuring Styles P from the Kiss of Death as well as the Why Remix featuring Anthony Hamilton, Styles P, Common, and Nas. In 2004 Elite graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase music conservatory studying Studio Production. In 2006 Elite produced "Wrong or Right (I'm Tired)" for DMX from the album Year of the Dog... Again.

In 2009 Elite began work with longtime friend and Roc Nation recording artist J. Cole on his critically acclaimed mixtape The Warm Up. Elite produced "Heartache" and a good portion of the mixtape was recorded at his home studio in New York. In 2010 Elite released his first mixtape entitled "The Groundwork" which was a collection of all his production work up to that point. The mixtape featured an unreleased J. Cole song titled "playground". Elite also produced "See World" for J. Cole off his 3rd mixtape Friday Night Lights. Elite Co-Produced J. Strauss Group Ltd. (Hebrew: שטראוס‎) formerly known as Strauss-Elite (Hebrew: שטראוס עלית‎), is a food products manufacturer in Israel. It is the shared trademark of two companies – Strauss and Elite, that merged in 2004. Strauss focuses mostly on dairy products while Elite focuses on chocolate, coffee, and dry snack foods.

History of Strauss

Strauss was founded in the 1930s as a commercial dairy by Richard and Hilda Strauss, German Jewish immigrants from Nieder-Olm who moved to Nahariya at the time of the British Mandate of Palestine. At first, the milking business wasn't successful enough so they started making cheese, which did become successful. In the 1950s, Strauss grew and began focusing on ice cream products, with about 50 employees in their Nahariya factory.

In 1969, after Groupe Danone purchased a part of the company's ownership, Strauss expanded from ice cream manufacture and began producing puddings and other individual packaged dairy desserts, the most popular of which was "Dani" and about 15 years later, "Milky". In 1975, Michael Strauss, son of the founders, became the CEO of the company.

Legend (Lynyrd Skynyrd album)

Legend was a posthumous compilation album of unreleased material by American Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, which contained previously unreleased demos from the albums before the 1977 plane crash. However, the vast majority of tracks on Legend are now available on other albums. The album was certified Gold on 7/27/2001 by the RIAA.

Legend (film score)

Legend: The Music of Jerry Goldsmith is a musical film score by American composer Jerry Goldsmith, released in 1986 for the worldwide release of the film of the same name, (excluding the US). The album was released on compact disc in 1992 through Silva Screen records and featured alternate cover art and additional songs.

Background

Goldsmith's score was featured in the original version of the film, but due to a disappointing test screening with the original orchestral score, director Ridley Scott decided to make changes to the film. Sidney Sheinberg, president of MCA (the parent company of Universal at the time), felt that the Goldsmith score would not appeal to the youth and pressed Scott for a new score. German group Tangerine Dream was contracted to complete a new, more contemporary score—-a job they completed in three weeks. Until 2002, only European audiences could see Legend with Goldsmith's score.

Legend (Robin of Sherwood soundtrack)

Legend is a 1984 soundtrack album for the ITV television series Robin of Sherwood, by the Irish folk group Clannad. It is their eighth album. In 1985, this album won the BAFTA award for Best Original Television Music, making Clannad the first Irish band to win the award.

"Robin (The Hooded Man)", the title theme from the series, was also released on a 7" single in 1984, featuring actor Michael Praed as Robin of Sherwood on the sleeve. The single was then re-released in 1986 with a newly recorded version and featuring actor Jason Connery on the sleeve. For this re-release, the B-sides include "Caisleán Óir" (as it appears on the album Macalla), which originally appeared slightly different as incidental music in the series. In addition, "Now Is Here" and "Scarlet Inside" were released as singles in their own right.

In addition to the tracks on Legend, which were used extensively in the series, there is also additional music composed for the show that do not appear on this album, but selected tracks have surfaced on other albums as different versions. These include a new version of "Caislean Oir" on Clannad's Macalla album (released 1986), and two live performances entitled "Robin of Sherwood Medley" and (portions of) "Dance & Teidhir Abhaile Riu" from Clannad: Live in Concert (released 2005). Another theme from the series was reworked as the song "Almost Seems (Too Late to Turn)".
