Legacy is a British thriller television film that broadcast on BBC Two on 28 November 2013. It is an adaptation of Alan Judd's spy novel of the same name.
Plot
Charles Thoroughgood (Charlie Cox), a young spy, discovers the truth about his father's past. After leaving the army, he starts training at the Secret Intelligence Service when Viktor Koslov (Andrew Scott), a Soviet diplomat, gets him on a case. Charles' bosses want to exploit Viktor. When Charles makes contact with him, Viktor tells him information that he doesn't want to believe. Charles is also in a relationship with the wife of another agent.

Legacy (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
"Legacy" is the 80th episode of the syndicated American science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, the sixth episode of the fourth season. It marked the point at which the series surpassed the number of episodes in the original series.
The Enterprise crew is caught in the midst of a civil war on Turkana IV, former crew member Tasha Yar's homeworld. While negotiating with one of the factions, they discover that the faction's representative is Tasha's younger sister, Ishara.
Plot
The Enterprise, under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), responds to a distress call from the Federation freighter Arcos which has suffered from engine failure and taken emergency orbit around the colonized planet Turkana IV, the birthplace of the Enterprise's former chief of security, Tasha Yar. The Enterprise arrives just as the Arcos explodes, but find a trail left behind by the freighter's escape pod leading to the colony. Turkana IV's government collapsed 15 years before, and the last Federation ship to visit six years earlier was warned by the colony's warring factions that any trespassers transporting down to the planet would be executed. As the freighter crew's lives are in danger, Picard decides a rescue must be attempted.
Grendel (film)
Grendel is a 2007 television film directed by Nick Lyon that is very loosely based on the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf. The television film was produced by the Sci Fi channel as an original movie for broadcasting on the Sci Fi cable television network, and began airing in January 2007. In 2010 it was released on DVD by Universal Pictures.
The movie posits Grendel's mother as a monster ("Hag") who demands monthly sacrifice from the Danes; king Hrothgar and his wife Wealhþeow have agreed to the scheme, with the result that by the time the hero comes there are almost no children left, and Hrothgar bemoans the fact that he has become as monstrous as the monster. After she disappears from the scene her son, Grendel, continues her reign of terror. Nickolas Haydock, in the essay "Making Sacrifices" from the Beowulf on Film collection, called the film "highly derivative" and "regrettable".

Grendel (short story)
"Grendel" is an English language science fiction short story written in 1968 by Larry Niven. It is the fourth in the series of Known Space stories featuring crashlander Beowulf Shaeffer. The short story was originally published in Neutron Star (1968), and reprinted in Crashlander (1994).
Synopsis
Beowulf "Bey" Shaeffer is on a flight between Down and Gummidgy when the ship's captain, Margo Tellefsen, announces that she is dropping of out hyperdrive so passengers can witness a starseed setting sail. Just after this happens, all passengers are knocked out by a gas introduced in the ship's life system; while no cargo is missing, a Kdatlyno touch sculptor named Lloobee has vanished.
Soon enough, the kidnappers make contact with the local government and demand ten million "stars" (the interstellar form of currency) for Lloobee's safe return. Because Kdatlyno cannot spend extended time in small space ships (Margo mentioned seeing a large yacht before passing out), Shaeffer reasons that Lloobee's kidnappers must have taken him onto the planet. After looking through spaceport records, Shaeffer and fellow passenger Emil Horne reason that the most likely ship to have carried Lloobee was Drunkard's Walk, a ship owned by Larchmont Bellamy, an acquaintance of Shaeffer's.
Grendel (band)
Grendel is a Dutch music group formed in 1997. Their music is in the electro-industrial genre. Their name originates from the beast in Beowulf.
Not to be confused with the Finnish power metal band or Australian heavy metal band of the same name.
History
Grendel was formed in 2000 by VLRK (JD Tucker) and released its first promo CD, which included the European dance hit, "Strangers". Soon after Grendel began receiving requests for live shows and FLRS (aka Floris Noordman) joined the band, performing live synthesizing and engineering duties. Grendel was signed by the German record label NoiTekk — a sub-division of Black Rain — which released their first studio album, Inhumane Amusement, an expanded and remastered version of their demo CD.
The End of Ages EP was released in 2002 and included remixes of the title track by Feindflug, Arzt+Pfusch and God Module.
In 2003 Grendel recorded their second full-length release, Prescription: Medicide. It was album of the month in a.o. Zillo and Orkus, and reached very high positions in underground charts worldwide, including number 1 position for several months on the Dutch Underground Charts. It included a cover version of Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400. Soon after the recording of this album FLRS left the band and was replaced by 4N1T4.
