Left Behind is a series of 16 best-selling novels by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, dealing with Christian dispensationalist End Times: the pretribulation, premillennial, Christian eschatological viewpoint of the end of the world. The primary conflict of the series is the members of the Tribulation Force against the Global Community and its leader Nicolae Carpathia—the Antichrist. Left Behind is also the title of the first book in the series. The series was first published 1995–2007 by Tyndale House, a firm with a history of interest in dispensationalism.
The series has been adapted into four films to date. The original series of three films are Left Behind: The Movie (2000), Left Behind II: Tribulation Force (2002), and Left Behind: World at War (2005). A reboot starring Nicolas Cage, entitled simply Left Behind, was released in 2014 through Cloud Ten Pictures. The series also inspired the PC game Left Behind: Eternal Forces (2006) and its several sequels.
"Left Behind" is the 15th episode of the 3rd season of Lost. It was aired on April 4, 2007, making it the 64th episode of the series. The episode was written by Damon Lindelof and Elizabeth Sarnoff and directed by Karen Gaviola who won the NAACP Image Award for Best Director in a Drama Series. The character of Kate is featured in the episode's flashbacks.
In a flashback to Iowa, Kate's car breaks down and is towed into a service station. She overhears a man and a woman arguing. The woman is Cassidy, whom Sawyer trained to be a grifter and all of whose money he stole. She is working the jewelry con on the man. He does not believe Cassidy and wants to call the police. Kate tells him that her father was a jeweler, and the jewelry is not fake. They have drinks together and Cassidy asks why Kate did not want the police there. Kate says her stepfather was a bad man, so she killed him, escaped from the US marshal who arrested her and now she is back to talk to her mother. Cassidy offers to help. She says she was conned and embarrassed by a "bad guy", too, and that one of them deserves something good.

Girl, I hate to call you up on your job
But I had to let you know that this bullshit got to stop
You're my woman now and you're full grown
Got a baby in my hand and your mama on the phone
Hit me with the boo-boo all on my ear
Talkin' 'bout the business over here
You better check 'cause you know that I fear
She don't know me that well, I don't care
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
And girl it reach a point about four five time
Tryin' to tell me I'll take care of this baby boy of mine
Talk about did you feed him? Yeah, he should take a nap
Better step to your girlfriend before the trick he slap
Hit me with the boo-boo all on my ear
Talkin' 'bout the business over here
You better check 'cause you know that I fear
She don't me that well, I don't care
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
[Incomprehensible]
Like he mean he will
So he don't like the way I treat you
Tell him go to hell
He told a friend of mine
That he gon' whip my ass
Till you let your brother know
I say he know what I'll do, yeah
Hit me with the boo-boo all on my ear
Talkin' 'bout the business over here
You better check him 'cause you know that I fear
You don't know me that well, I don't care
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
'Cause I love you
I love you, I love you
I love you, yeah
Take your meals on time
Make your baby's mind
Give you my last dime
I'm yours and you're mine
Just you and me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Love you, love you
Love you, love you
Love you, love you
Love you, love you
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
I ain't gonna let them worry me
Just us, just you and me
That's how it's supposed to be
All your friends and your family
