Åled

Åled is a locality situated in Halmstad Municipality, Halland County,Sweden, with 1,634 inhabitants as of 2010. The community is located just over 10 km northeast of Halmstad along Swedish national road 26. The Nissan river runs though the area.

Spånstad is located in the northwestern part of the village, and Enslöv is in the east. Northeast of Åled there is a small lake named Torsjön and "Gröta håla" (a giant's kettle). Åled is located along the Halmstad-Nässjö railway line, formerly part of Halmstad Nässjö Railways, HNJ. It was completed in 1882.

The musician Göran Fritzson from Gyllene Tider was born and raised in Åled.

Light-emitting diode

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light (corresponding to the energy of the photon) is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor.

An LED is often small in area (less than 1 mm²) and integrated optical components may be used to shape its radiation pattern.

Appearing as practical electronic components in 1962, the earliest LEDs emitted low-intensity infrared light. Infrared LEDs are still frequently used as transmitting elements in remote-control circuits, such as those in remote controls for a wide variety of consumer electronics. The first visible-light LEDs were also of low intensity, and limited to red. Modern LEDs are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness.

LED (editor)

LED was a programmer's editor by Norsk Data running on the ND-500 series of computers running Sintran III. It featured automatic indenting, pretty-printing of source code, and integration with the compiler environment. It was sold as an advanced alternative to PED. There are several remaining copies, and it is installed on the NODAF public access ND-5700.

Negative (Mansun song)

"Negative" is a song by the English alternative rock band Mansun. The song was written by Paul Draper, Dominic Chad, Stove and Andie Rathbone. It was recorded and produced by Paul Draper and Mark 'Spike' Stent during sessions for the group's second studio album. The song was released as the third single in 1998 from the group's second album, Six. Despite being one of the album's more traditional songs the single peaked low at #27 on the UK Singles Chart, breaking the group's run of seven consecutive top twenty singles.

The music video for "Negative" was directed by Jamie Thraves.

Negative (Negative album)

Negative is the 1999 debut studio album from influential Serbian rock band Negative. The album was an immediate success, and it included some of the band's greatest hits. Ja bih te sanjala became their signature song. During the next three years, the band had a string of successful singles such as "Ja bih te sanjala", "Oblaci", "Svet tuge", "Ti me ne volis" and "Vreme je". Videos were shot for all the singles from the album.

In May 2000, the band had their first live act in front of several thousand people. The concert was recorded and released on a CD later that year.
