Lazy eye may refer to:
"Lazy Eye" is a song recorded by the Goo Goo Dolls for the soundtrack of the 1997 film Batman & Robin starring George Clooney. It is the band's first studio recording to feature Mike Malinin on drums. "Lazy Eye" was released in a promotional format only.
"Lazy Eye" is the third single from Silversun Pickups' debut album Carnavas. The band performed the song on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Later With Jools Holland, and Last Call with Carson Daly. The song is a playable track on Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour.
An alternate version of the song, with a length of 7:27, was played on XMU before the shorter version was played on FM and other XM channels. This version was featured on their demo CD (which featured early versions of four tracks).
The music video for "Lazy Eye" was directed by Suzie Vlcek, who directed the band's "Kissing Families" video as well as the video for Tegan and Sara's "The Con". It was produced by Eric Morgan. The music video is said to be a take on the 1970 Swedish film 'A Swedish Love Story'.
It takes place in a club, possibly in the 1970s or 1980s judging by the hairstyles and clothing, brimming with teenagers dancing to the song as the band plays live on stage. The video alternates between the band playing, and a young girl with short hair.
you sell your time
your stinking time
now keep your time
and i'll keep mine
with blazing eyes and
ears plugged tight
your pearls of wisdom fall
with halo high
and shit filled smiles
the invoice that was caught
you're stinking up the room
your face is turning blue
build your shrine
and give our lives
and everything you do
is like famous people do
that ordinary you
and everything you say
comes sliding down the scale
from making up your own rules
and everything you do
is like famous people do
except no one knows about you
with glazing eyes and
ears plugged tight
your pearls of wisdom fall
with halo high
and shit filled smiles
the invoice that was caught
the debt that i've accrued
will not be payed in you
you're stinking up the room
your face is turning blue
