Last words or final words are a person's final articulated words said prior to death or as death approaches.
Quotations of last words may not be the words spoken immediately before death, as these tend to reflect the mode of death. Last words may not be written down and accurately recorded, and they may not be quoted accurately for a variety of reasons.
Famous last words include both the literal sense such as the sayings of Jesus on the cross, "Et tu, Brute?" from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, and Oscar Wilde's "My wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. One or the other of us has to go", and the ironical sense of words said before a disaster, such as:
The Sayings of Jesus on the cross (also called the Seven Last Words from the Cross) are seven expressions biblically attributed to Jesus during his crucifixion. Traditionally, the brief sayings have been called "words". They are gathered from the four Canonical Gospels. Three of the sayings appear only in the Gospel of Luke and three only in the Gospel of John. The other saying appears both in the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of Matthew. In Mark and Matthew, Jesus cries out to God. In Luke, he forgives his killers, reassures the penitent thief, and commends his spirit to the Father. In John, he speaks to his mother, says he thirsts, and declares the end of his earthly life.
A person's final articulated words said prior to death or as death approaches generally are taken to have particular significance in meaning. These seven sayings, being "last words", may provide a way to understand what was ultimately important to this man who was dying on the cross. The sparsity of sayings recorded in the biblical accounts suggests that Jesus remained relatively silent for the hours he hung there.
Last Words (German: Letzte Worte) is a 1968 short film by Werner Herzog shot in Crete and on the island of Spinalonga. The film was shot in two days during the filming of Herzog's feature Signs of Life, and edited in one day.
The film tells a story of the last man to leave the abandoned island of Spinalonga, which had been used as a leper colony. The man refused to leave, and so was forcibly removed. He now lives in Crete, where he plays the lyre at nights in a bar, and refuses to speak. The film's narrative style is very unconventional, with most characters speaking their lines several times repeatedly in long takes. The man from the island has the most spoken lines of any character, as he repeatedly explains that he refuses to speak, even a single word.
Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones (/nɑːˈsɪər/; born September 14, 1973), better known as Nas /ˈnɑːz/, is an American rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer and actor. The son of jazz musician Olu Dara, Nas has released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and sold over 25 million records worldwide since 1994. He is also an entrepreneur through his own record label; he serves as associate publisher of Mass Appeal magazine and is the owner of a Fila sneaker store. He is currently signed to Mass Appeal Records.
His musical career began in 1991 when he was featured on Main Source's track "Live at the Barbeque". His debut album Illmatic, released in 1994, received universal acclaim from both critics and the hip hop community; it is frequently ranked as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
Nas' follow-up album, It Was Written, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, stayed on top for four consecutive weeks, went Platinum twice in only two months, and made Nas internationally known. From 2001 to 2005, Nas was involved in a highly publicized feud with rapper Jay Z. In 2006, Nas signed to Def Jam. In 2010, he released a collaboration album with reggae artist Damian Marley, donating all royalties to charities active in Africa. His eleventh studio album, Life Is Good, was released in 2012, and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
The untitled ninth studio album by American rapper Nas was released by Def Jam Recordings and Columbia Records on July 15, 2008 in the United States, with earlier dates in some other countries. Its original title—Nigger—was changed due to controversy surrounding the racial epithet. The album is distinguished for its political content, diverse sources of production and provocative subject matter.
The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, Nas' fifth to do so. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for shipments of 500,000 copies in the United States. Upon its release, the album received generally positive reviews from music critics; it holds an aggregate score of 71/100 from Metacritic.
The original title of the album—Nigger—was mentioned by Nas several times, as well as on an October 12, 2007, performance at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City where he announced the title and release date.Def Jam made no comment on the title. This was similar to attempts to name his 2006 album—eventually titled Hip Hop Is Dead—both Nigga and Hip Hop Is Dead... The N. On May 19, 2008, it was confirmed that Nas changed the name of the album to an untitled one (although on iTunes, the album is self-titled), stating that "the people will always know what the real title of this album is and what to call it." The cover of the album shows the back of a shirtless Nas with flagellation scars forming the shape of the letter N, a reference to the racial slur and how slaves were tortured. Fort Greene, Brooklyn assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries requested New York's Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli to withdraw $84 million from the state pension fund that has been invested into Universal and its parent company, Vivendi, if the album's title was not changed.
Nas is a small village on the Greek island of Icaria. It is famous for the beach which is located near the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis.

{Straight Thru Verse}
One side of me's tellin me I just want you with me
But your friend tells me that without me you will be happy
Nobody else can see what's goin on inside of me
But one the inside I'm dying while on the outside I'm crying
While lying in my room I lay hurting and alone
It gets hard to even make words when we're talkin on the phone
You say you love me, I believe you, but I start to wonder why
Your friend's tellin me you say the same thing to another guy
The only thing I know in this world is that baby I love you
But maybe you don't mean it when you say that you love me too
Maybe it's not your fault, maybe you don't know what love is
Maybe it's my job to show you, or maybe that job is his
I L-O-V-E-Y-O-U, baby I love you and when I say those words
To you I hope you know that they are true
Baby you're the air I breathe, I'll die if you ever leave
You are the one and only reason this heart of mine still beats
Baby I love you from the very deep depths of my soul
I say I want you to pursue him but I don't want you to go
Baby, I love you true, I just want what's best for you
And even if it kills me I'll do damn near anything for you
Baby all you need is ask, I'll try my best to do the task
If it calls for the air I breathe, baby I'll give you my last (breath)
But baby you have to do something for me in return
You need to figure out for which one of us your heart yearns
When we're on the phone I try my best to act like nothings wrong
But my heart is slowly dying as time is passing on
Baby the pain is hard to take, my heart is starting to break
Baby I'm crying so much that my room starts to look like a lake
Baby I love you so much I don't want you to go
But until you find out how he feels baby you'll never know
And baby I think you'll regret it, get angry and upset that
You never found out how you feel, and if your love for me is real
Always I'm dying inside, always I'm trying to hide
My pain behind lying eyes, but there's always escaping sighs
Always I'll love you, forever baby it's true
So now I'll listen to the music as I think about you
But first I'll do one thing, before I cease to sing
I'll tell you I still feel the same as when I gave you the ring
That I got when my grandpa died, love is what it signifies
So now I have one thing to tell you before I say goodbye
Just three words will do, so perfect and so true
The three words are as follows baby: I love you
So I guess I'll turn off the mic, before I say goodnight
So baby I love you and I wanna say goodbye...
