Warrior (Kesha album)

Warrior is the second studio album by American recording artist Kesha, released on November 30, 2012 by Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. Its music spans the electropop, technopop, pop rock, and hip hop genres; Kesha described the album as more personal than her previous material in addition to her attempt at reviving the rock genre, calling it a "cock pop" record. Its theme is said to be magic.

Writing for Warrior began in late 2011 and ended in early 2012, with recording taking place from January through August 2012. Kesha wrote the majority of the album while touring internationally and during her spiritual journey. Contributions to the album's production came from longtime collaborators Dr. Luke (who was also the executive producer of the project), Max Martin, Shellback, Ammo and Benny Blanco. It features guest vocals from American rock singer Iggy Pop, who has been cited as a major influence on the album, as well as writing contributions from Nate Ruess from American indie rock trio Fun, American rapper will.i.am, singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee, The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, American rock bands The Strokes and The Flaming Lips and Kesha's own mother, Pebe Sebert. Upon its release, Warrior received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who commended its rock-influenced material, lyrical content, and collaborations whilst others criticized its use of Auto Tune and formulaic content. The album reached number 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200, also charting within Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Japan and others.

Last Goodbye (Jeff Buckley song)

"Last Goodbye" is a 1994 song by singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley, from his album Grace. It was the second single released from the album, after the title song. It was Buckley's most commercially successful song, earning him a belated alternative hit in early 1995, peaking at #19 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks.

"Last Goodbye" was originally titled "Unforgiven", and had a more straightforward rock feel and instrumentation; it was first recorded at a demo session in 1990. A live version of the song, still titled "Unforgiven", was recorded in 1993 and released on the posthumous 2003 album Live at Sin-é (Legacy Edition).

The song also featured at number 3 on Australia's Triple J's 'Hottest 100 of 20 Years' countdown.

Music video

    Last Goodbye

    by: Wailin' Jennys

    I hear the wrecking ball
sure on the path, no thought for the old
But the fault lines were there so how much should we
    care
we’re broken in two from the day we are born
But you’ll not hear any more of this said
You’re singing a song that’s been stuck in your head
You say, I’ll tell you how we’ll both make it through
    to the end
And then you will see that I love you
you’ll rest with me all our nights
You say, I know a place where your heart can be safe
and you’ve said your last goodbye
I hear every word that you say
taking it in like an old fairy tale
Through for better or worse and the promise of verse
you make it seem real, like its all here to stay
But see how the wind it blows, all the birds scatter
    and I’m out here alone
You say I know your favourite song and I’ll sing you
    back home
And then you will see that I love you
you’ll rest with me all our nights
You say I know a place where your heart can be safe
and you’ve said your last goodbye
    So let it come down
    let it come
And then you will see that I love you
you’ll rest with me all our nights
I know a place where your heart can be safe
