Ron Keel (born March 25,1961) is a Heavy metal vocalist and guitarist for a number of bands from the 1980s to the modern day, including the glam metal band Keel.
Ron Keel started his music career with a Tennessee-based band named Lust. He came to Los Angeles with his band Steeler, which later on featured Yngwie Malmsteen, Rik Fox and Mark Edwards. Steeler released one self-titled album in 1983 on Shrapnel Records. Steeler became one of many of L.A.'s '80's rock acts who could not withstand the test of time. Malmsteen was the first to leave, opting to play with the band Alcatrazz (featuring Graham Bonnet) before achieving success with his own band.
After the demise of Steeler, Ron formed a new band and simply called it Keel. The band secured a record deal with Gold Mountain/A&M Records. From 1984 to 1989, Keel toured the world and sold 2 million records. KISS vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons produced two of Keel's albums: The Right to Rock and The Final Frontier. The band regrouped in 2008 and toured to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Last Child is a song performed by American hard rock band Aerosmith. It was written by Steven Tyler and Brad Whitford. It was released as the first single from the band's hard rock album Rocks in 1976. The song peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100, one of many in a string of hit singles for the band in the mid-1970s.
The song is one of the most famous co-contributions of Brad Whitford to the band. Live, he plays a variation of the guitar solo as heard on the original recording. The song opens like a slow song, with the slow, careful playing of the guitar and Steven Tyler's dreamy lyrics. But then after 22 seconds, it abruptly changes to a hard rocking bluesy song, complete with a boogie background and two-guitar interplay between Brad Whitford and Joe Perry, with Whitford playing the low notes of the song's riff on the verse and Perry playing funk chords higher up on the neck.
Long after its release, "Last Child" continues to see regular airplay on rock radio stations and is regularly rotated into Aerosmith's concert setlist, even on their latest tour. In concert, it is often Brad Whitford's feature spot, in which Steven Tyler gives him an introduction with something like "Brad Whitford, what do you got to show for yourself?" or "What do you got up your sleeve?" Brad often does a little bit of an intro before playing the opening notes to the song.
Last Child is an Indonesian pop punk/ alternative rock band formed in 2006. The band's current members are Virgoun Teguh (vocals and guitar), Rachmad Firdaus (guitar), Dimas Rangga (vocals and bass). It has released one mini album and two studio albums.
The name Last Child was chosen because of the fact that the band founders are the last (youngest) children of their respective families.
The band was formed in 2006 in East Jakarta by schoolmates Virgoun Teguh (guitar and vocals), Dimas Rangga (bass), and Ary Ceper (drums). Later Ary left the band, while Rachmad Firdaus joined as a guitarist.
The group's first album was Grow Up, a mini album. It was released independently. Virgoun described it as having many socially-themed protests.
In 2008, Last Child released their first studio album, Everything We Are Everything, was released by Fake Records. Virgoun said that the album touches different issues from the independent album, "from love to spiritualism".
In 2009, the band signed a contract with the local studio dr.m to promote the ringtone for "Diary Depresiku" ("My Depression Diary"), about a kid wrought with emotional turmoil after a divorce, which reached 300,000 downloads. Indah Setiawati wrote that the song has bitter lyrics and a slow melody. The second single, "Pedih" ("Sore"), was in a rock style but had melancholic lyrics. The third single released by dr.m was "Percayalah" ("Trust").
I'm dreaming tonight, I'm living back home
Right!
Yeah...yeah
Take me back to a south Tallahassee
Down cross the bridge to my sweet sassafrassy
Can't stand up on my feet in the city
Gotta get back to the real nitty gritty
Yes sir, no sir
Don't come close to my
Home sweet home
Can't catch no dose
Of my hot tail poon tang sweetheart
Sweathog ready to make a silk purse
From a J Paul Getty and his ear
With her face in her beer
Home sweet home
Get out in the field
Put the mule in the stable
Ma she's a cookin'
Put the eats on the table
Hate's in the city
And my love's in the meadow
Hands on the plow
And my feets in the ghetto
Stand up, sit down
Don't do nothing
It ain't no good when boss man's
Stuffin' down their throats
For paper notes
And their babies cry
While cities lie at their feet
When you're rockin' the street
Home sweet home
Mama, take me home sweet home
I was the last child
I'm just a punk in the street
(Repeat)
