Lawrence J. "Larry" Miller (born October 15, 1953) is an American actor, voice artist, comedian, podcaster, and columnist.
Miller was born in Valley Stream, New York, on Long Island. He is Jewish. He has said that one of his grandmothers was from Latvia and one of his grandfathers was from Austria. Miller married television writer Eileen Conn in 1993. The couple has two children.
His roles include the nasty doorman on Seinfeld, Walter Stratford in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, as well as several characters in Christopher Guest's mockumentary movies. He has also appeared in Carry On Columbus, The Nutty Professor, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, Max Keeble's Big Move, and Pretty Woman. He played Edwin Poole in the ABC dramedy Boston Legal. He is close friends with Jerry Seinfeld and auditioned for the part of George Costanza.
He played night club owner Michael Dobson in two Law & Order episodes, first in the episode "Coma" and then later in "Encore". Miller appeared as himself in a third episode, "Smoke". He was also in 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, where he played Tommy, Kyle's obnoxious father and Paul's colleague. He also played himself in a later episode of the same series. Additionally, he was the writer for the television shows Uncommon Sense (2005), Just Words (1992), and Pros & Cons (1999).

Lawrence Horne "Larry H." Miller (April 26, 1944 – February 20, 2009) was a Utah businessman and philanthropist who was well known as the owner of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Utah Jazz and of the Salt Lake Bees, a Triple-A Minor League Baseball franchise. Miller and his companies also owned 54 automotive dealerships throughout the Western United States, and a variety of other business ventures including Prestige Financial Services, Inc., Jordan Commons (a restaurant and entertainment complex), Megaplex Theatres, KJZZ-TV, Miller Motorsports Park, the FANZZ chain of sports apparel stores, the advertising agency Saxton Horne – named after Miller's wife's maiden name and his middle-name, and the EnergySolutions Arena (formerly known as the "Delta Center"), all of which are still owned by the family's Larry H. Miller Group of Companies.
Miller was born as Lawrence Horne West to Mary Lorille Horne and Howard Hanley West. His parents divorced in 1946, and in June 1948 his mother married Frank Soren Miller. Larry was legally adopted by his stepfather in September 1949 and his last name was changed to Miller.
