Sixology

Sixology (Chinese: JJ陸) is Singaporean Mandopop Singer-songwriter JJ Lin's sixth Mandarin studio album. It was released on 18 October 2008 by the Ocean Butterflies Music and contains 14 tracks. It is called this because it is his sixth album. There are three versions for this album. The song "主角" is popular in China, with many performances recently and concerts in many cities.

The album was awarded one of the Top 10 Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year at the 2009 IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards, presented by the Hong Kong branch of IFPI.

Land (The Comsat Angels album)

Land, released in 1983 on Jive Records, was The Comsat Angels' fourth album. The album was reissued on CD in 2001 with five B-sides as bonus tracks for Jive's "Connoisseur Collection".

The song "Independence Day," originally from their debut album, Waiting for a Miracle, was rerecorded for Land. "Will You Stay Tonight" and "Independence Day" received a reasonable amount of airplay and charted in the UK at No. 81 and No. 71, respectively. "Island Heart" was also released as a single.

Land was the first of two albums for the Jive label and was viewed as a major departure from the Comsats' first three albums. Frontman Stephen Fellows looked back in a 2006 interview: "We made more commercial albums in the mid-'80s because the record company wanted us to do so. We were happy to find a new label after the commercially not-so-successful first albums." He regretted the result, but their options seemed limited because of the pop music world at the time. "Indie didn’t really exist, so we had no choice. But in retrospect we should have [stuck] to our early sound." Bass player Kevin Bacon put it this way: "The demos we did for Land were really good. It was a weird time for us – we felt deflated after being dropped after three albums by Polydor. Eighties pop values were rife; we didn’t naturally fit in, but were all into being popular (pop) and felt we could achieve it in a more damning way. We didn’t think Land was crap at the time, we just didn’t think it was us."

Patti Smith

Patricia Lee "Patti" Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist who became a highly influential component of the New York City punk rock movement with her 1975 debut album Horses.

Called the "punk poet laureate", Smith fused rock and poetry in her work. Smith's most widely known song is "Because the Night", which was co-written with Bruce Springsteen. The song reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. In 2005, Patti Smith was named a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture, and in 2007, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On November 17, 2010, she won the National Book Award for her memoir Just Kids. The book fulfilled a promise she had made to her former long-time roommate and partner, Robert Mapplethorpe. In Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 Greatest Artists published in December 2010, she was in 47th place. She is also a recipient of the 2011 Polar Music Prize.

Run!

"Run!" is the fifteenth episode of the first season of the NBC science fiction drama series Heroes. Regular cast members Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) and Santiago Cabrera (Isaac Mendez) do not appear in this episode.

Plot

Meredith calls and informs Nathan that their daughter Claire is still alive. Aware that the scandal could ruin his political future, Nathan gives Meredith $100,000 for her silence. Elsewhere, Mrs. Bennet's health deteriorates, causing the rift between Claire and Mr. Bennet, since she blames him for her mother's condition. He grounds her after learning she skipped school, prompting Claire to be more outraged. Claire later shows up at Meredith's trailer, hoping that her biological father could help Mrs. Bennet. Meredith tells Claire that he will only disappoint her, and Meredith herself is going back to Mexico. She takes a picture of Claire as remembrance, which she later shows to a visiting Nathan. Meredith offers to introduce them, but Nathan refuses - this crushes an eavesdropping Claire. Visibly upset, Nathan gets inside his limo and leaves. Claire hurls a stone at his rear window in anger.

Run (Amy Macdonald song)

"Run" is the fifth single to be released from Amy Macdonald's debut album, This Is the Life. The single was released in the UK on 3 March 2008 and peaked at #75 in the United Kingdom for 1 week. Macdonald stated on stage at T in the Park 2008 that the song was inspired by a gig by The Killers in her hometown of Glasgow.

Macdonald's single "Run" was released on 3 March and jumped in the top 75 at number 75,next week it was knocked out of the top 75. Run charted at #36 in Germany.

Run (Snow Patrol song)

"Run" is a song by Northern Irish/Scottish alternative rock band Snow Patrol from their third studio album, Final Straw (2003). It was released in the United Kingdom on 26 February 2004 as the second single from the album. The song, described as a post-Britpop power ballad, was received with positive reviews by music critics. It reached the top five on the UK Singles Chart. The song was covered by multiple artists, including Tre Lux, Three Graces, Damian McGinty, and Leona Lewis, the last of whom released it as single on 30 November 2008.

Background

Snow Patrol's frontman, Gary Lightbody, conceived the idea of writing "Run" in 2000. In an interview with Michael Odell, from Q magazine, Lightbody explained the song was not written about "being a child", as he tended to say. He described: "I was on a massive bender and one night I was drinking in the bar of the Glasgow School of Art. I fell down a full flight of stairs. Jonny Quinn found me in the stairwell with blood coming out of my head ... I split my head open and my eye was closed and I lost a few teeth ... I wrote Run soon after on this little guitar I'd tried to smash up in my shitty little room near Hillhead. The words 'Light up, light up' gave me this sense of a beacon." In an interview with Daily Mail in 2009, Lightbody added: "We had nothing. I was in a flat in Glasgow. No doubt it was raining. The song was me writing about an imagined world, projecting myself into better times." Beside Lightbody, it was written by Quinn, Nathan Connolly, Mark McClelland and Iain Archer.
