Sixology (Chinese: JJ陸) is Singaporean Mandopop Singer-songwriter JJ Lin's sixth Mandarin studio album. It was released on 18 October 2008 by the Ocean Butterflies Music and contains 14 tracks. It is called this because it is his sixth album. There are three versions for this album. The song "主角" is popular in China, with many performances recently and concerts in many cities.
The album was awarded one of the Top 10 Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year at the 2009 IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards, presented by the Hong Kong branch of IFPI.
Land, released in 1983 on Jive Records, was The Comsat Angels' fourth album. The album was reissued on CD in 2001 with five B-sides as bonus tracks for Jive's "Connoisseur Collection".
The song "Independence Day," originally from their debut album, Waiting for a Miracle, was rerecorded for Land. "Will You Stay Tonight" and "Independence Day" received a reasonable amount of airplay and charted in the UK at No. 81 and No. 71, respectively. "Island Heart" was also released as a single.
Land was the first of two albums for the Jive label and was viewed as a major departure from the Comsats' first three albums. Frontman Stephen Fellows looked back in a 2006 interview: "We made more commercial albums in the mid-'80s because the record company wanted us to do so. We were happy to find a new label after the commercially not-so-successful first albums." He regretted the result, but their options seemed limited because of the pop music world at the time. "Indie didn’t really exist, so we had no choice. But in retrospect we should have [stuck] to our early sound." Bass player Kevin Bacon put it this way: "The demos we did for Land were really good. It was a weird time for us – we felt deflated after being dropped after three albums by Polydor. Eighties pop values were rife; we didn’t naturally fit in, but were all into being popular (pop) and felt we could achieve it in a more damning way. We didn’t think Land was crap at the time, we just didn’t think it was us."
A LAND (Local Area Network Denial) attack is a DoS (Denial of Service) attack that consists of sending a special poison spoofed packet to a computer, causing it to lock up. The security flaw was first discovered in 1997 by someone using the alias "m3lt", and has resurfaced many years later in operating systems such as Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP SP2.
The attack involves sending a spoofed TCP SYN packet (connection initiation) with the target host's IP address to an open port as both source and destination. This causes the machine to reply to itself continuously. It is, however, distinct from the TCP SYN Flood vulnerability.
Other LAND attacks have since been found in services like SNMP and Windows 88/tcp (kerberos/global services). Such systems had design flaws that would allow the device to accept request on the wire appearing to be from themselves, causing repeated replies.
Below is a list of vulnerable operating systems:
Coda is a code-breaking board game for two to four players, invented by Eiji Wakasugi. The objective is to guess the code of other players while preventing the discovery of your own code. The game has been marketed under the titles Da Vinci Code and Da Vinci Code The Game. In spite of this, it has no connection to the novel The Da Vinci Code.
The game is played using twelve black and twelve white tiles numbered from 0 to 11 on one side..
Initially all the tiles are laid face down on the table. Each player then chooses four tiles (three tiles if there are four players) and arranges them secretly in growing order with the smallest number on the left to make his/her code. If the code contains the same number twice, the black tile is always considered as smaller than the white one.
A player turn consists in drawing one of the remaining tiles, looking at it secretly and proposing a value for one of the hidden tiles in an opponent code. If the proposed value is not correct, the player must reveal the tile he/she has drawn and insert it at the correct place within his/her own code giving consequently information about his/her code. If the proposed value was correct the opponent must reveal the matching tile in his code, and the active player may decide go on proposing values for hidden opponent tiles until he/she either guesses incorrecttly or decides to stop. When he/she decides to stop he/she inserts the drawn tile without revealing it at the correct place in his/her code making consequently the code longer.
Coda (Constant Data Availability) is a distributed file system developed as a research project at Carnegie Mellon University since 1987 under the direction of Mahadev Satyanarayanan. It descended directly from an older version of Andrew File System (AFS-2) and offers many similar features. The InterMezzo file system was inspired by Coda. Coda is still under development, but there has not been any activities on their website since February 2011. Though there are claims that the focus shifted from research to creating a robust product for commercial use, but activities about the system in linux system kernel is rather low.
Coda has many features that are desirable for network file systems, and several features not found elsewhere.
Coda is the ninth and final studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in 1982. The album is a collection of unused tracks from various sessions during Led Zeppelin's twelve-year career. It was released two years after the group had officially disbanded following the death of drummer John Bonham. The word coda, meaning a passage that ends a musical piece following the main body, was therefore chosen as the title.
Jimmy Page explained that part of the reasoning for the album's release related to the popularity of unofficial Led Zeppelin recordings which continued to be circulated by fans:
John Paul Jones recalled:
The fifth Swan Song Records album for the band, Coda was released to honour contractual commitments to Atlantic Records and also to cover tax demands on previous monies earned, cleared away close to all the leftover tracks from the various studio sessions of the 1960s and '70s. The album was a collection of eight tracks spanning the length of Zeppelin's twelve-year history.
Land in Sicht, singt der Wind in mein Herz.
Die lange Reise ist vorbei.
Morgenlicht weckt meine Seele auf.
Ich lebe wieder und bin frei.
Refrain:
Refrain...
