SS Merida was a Ward Line steamer that was struck by the steamer SS Admiral Farragut off the Virginia Capes, USA with a loss of approximately $2,000,000 in Mexican gold, silver, copper and jewels. In 1924 the wreck was rediscovered.

Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies
The Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies comprise connected fantasy novels written by Melanie Rawn. The Dragon Prince trilogy focuses on Prince Rohan of the Desert and his Sunrunner wife, Sioned, while the Dragon Star trilogy focuses on their son, Pol. The books in the Dragon Prince trilogy are Dragon Prince, The Star Scroll, and Sunrunner's Fire. The books in the Dragon Star trilogy are Stronghold, The Dragon Token, and Skybowl.
Introduction
The Dragon Prince novels take place in a world of political intrigue, Sunrunners, Sorcerers, war, and dragons.
This world is known as the Continent. It is divided into thirteen Princedoms (Desert, Princemarch, Cunaxa, Dorval, Syr, Gilad, Ossetia, Meadowlord, Grib, Kierst, Isel, Fessenden, and Firon) all of which follow the rule of the High Prince, whose seat is Princemarch. During the Rialla the Princes gather to make new laws and alliances. The princedoms and titles usually pass down to the oldest son; however, women have acted as regents and have ruled their own Keeps.
Lampre–Merida
Lampre–Merida (UCI team code: LAM) is an Italian road bicycle racing team. It was known in 2005 as Lampre-Caffita, a fusion of the previous Lampre and Saeco Macchine per Caffè teams. Lampre is an Italian manufacturer of prefinished steel sheet materials. Merida is a Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer. The team is a member of the UCI ProTour, and has been since the tour was formed as the top category of road cycling in 2005. However Lampre was temporarily suspended from the ProTour in 2010, missing one ProTour event.
The team consists mostly of Italian riders, and has a strong presence in the grand tours, especially the Giro d'Italia. The general manager Giuseppe Saronni was himself a famous professional cyclist and winner of 2 editions of the Giro d'Italia.
History
Following the tradition at Saeco, the team is well known for its publicity stunts. In the 2005 Giro d'Italia the team engaged in a press campaign Battaile d'Italia featuring their co-captains Gilberto Simoni and Damiano Cunego. During a rest day of the Giro, the team elected to visit the Monza race track for a photo-op and some training sessions.
