Vida (Sons do Quotidiano)

Portuguese keyboard player and composer José Cid released an EP in 1977 called Vida (Sons do Quotidiano). It's a concept album dealing with life from birth to death (apparently, life ended on this disc with an automobile accident, since you hear a car crash, before the disc ends with a synth solo). The record features Mellotron, Moog synthesizer, and string synth.

Description

The last Quarteto 1111 album, Cantamos Pessoas Vivas (1974) was Cid's first journey in to progressive rock. The band broke up and Cid decided go solo and continue on this prog direction. First he released the Vida ... EP in 1977 followed by a full LP the next year 10,000 Anos Depois Entre Venus E Marte.

Årø (Denmark)

Årø (German: Aarö) is a small island in the Lillebælt in Denmark. It is due east of Haderslev and just offshore from Årøsund.

Aro (murderer)

Aro (known only by that name) was the last person executed in Papua New Guinea.

In 1957, while Papua New Guinea was an Australian territory, Aro, then a young man, walked into a hospital "carrying a baby and a blood-stained axe" and stated that he had killed his two wives.

He was convicted of willful murder, sentenced to death, and executed by hanging in November 1957.

There were no further executions. The death penalty was abolished in 1970, five years before Papua New Guinea's independence from Australia. It was reintroduced in 1991, but never applied.

Bella Swan

Isabella Marie "Bella" Swan (later Bella Cullen) is the fictional protagonist of the Twilight series, written by Stephenie Meyer. The Twilight series, consisting of the novels Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, is primarily narrated from Bella's point-of-view.

In Twilight, Bella moves to her father's home in Forks, Washington, meets the mysterious Cullen family, and falls in love with Edward Cullen. However, she soon discovers that the family is a coven of vampires. Bella expresses a desire to become a vampire herself, against Edward's wishes. In the second novel, New Moon, Edward and the other Cullens leave Forks in an effort to keep Bella safe from the vampire world. Jacob Black, a member of the Quileute tribe who is also a shape shifter taking a wolf form, comforts the distraught and severely depressed Bella. She comes to care deeply for Jacob, though less than she loves Edward. In Eclipse, Bella becomes engaged to Edward, and they marry in Breaking Dawn. Edward then transforms Bella into a vampire after she nearly dies giving birth to their daughter, Renesmee. Bella has the ability to shield her mind (from mind reading, attacks, etc.), an ability she's had from the beginning. But once she is transformed into a vampire, her ability is enhanced to where she can also expand her shield to protect others from mind control.
