Laddie Cliff
Laddie Cliff (1891–1937) was a British writer, choreographer, dancer, actor, producer and director of comedy and musical theatre and film. He was noted for his versatility. His many London West End theatre appearances and films included a long association with fellow thespian Stanley Lupino. He was married to the actress Phyllis Monkman. He died in 1937 after a period of ill health.
Life and theatrical credits
Born Clifford Albyn Perry on 3 September 1891 in Bristol, Laddie Cliff first toured in British, Australian, and American variety. His acclaimed "extraordinary dancing" as a bespectacled comic in the London musical Three Little Widows resulted in his being engaged to choreograph Andre Charlot's The Wild Geese and put him on the road to stardom. He subsequently appeared in the revue Pins and Needles (1921).
As a performer, Cliff was the first to sing "Swanee" on the London stage, in Albert de Courville's London Hippodrome revue Jig-Saw! (1920), and appears on the original sheet music of the song.

Plot
Farmer son Laddie Stanton falls in love with the daughter of the man who just bought the land next door, Pamela Pryor. Her father is a vicious old Englishman, and isn't at all happy with the prospect of having Laddie as a son-in-law.
Pamela tries to make Laddie get another profession, to please her father and be able to continue their relation. Laddie is very upset and regards Pamela's plead as disrespectful. Laddie's sister, Sister, decides to help the. couple out.
Later, Mr. Pryor's dishonored son Robert, arrives on a visit. The Stanton family takes him in when his father doesn't, and Sister starts scheming how to use this to their advantage. When she tells Mr. Pryor that his son is staying with them, the old man is furious and goes to visit the family. He learns that Robert is ill and therefore was discharged from the British Army. Understanding that he was wrong about his son, Mr. Pryor forgives him and also warms to Laddie.
Cliff
In geography and geology, a cliff is a vertical, or near vertical, rock exposure. Cliffs are formed as erosion landforms due to the processes of erosion and weathering that produce them. Cliffs are common on coasts, in mountainous areas, escarpments and along rivers. Cliffs are usually formed by rock that is resistant to erosion and weathering. Sedimentary rocks most likely to form cliffs include sandstone, limestone, chalk, and dolomite. Igneous rocks such as granite and basalt also often form cliffs.
An escarpment (or scarp) is a type of cliff, formed by the movement of a geologic fault, or a landslide.
Most cliffs have some form of scree slope at their base. In arid areas or under high cliffs, these are generally exposed jumbles of fallen rock. In areas of higher moisture, a soil slope may obscure the talus. Many cliffs also feature tributary waterfalls or rock shelters. Sometimes a cliff peters out at the end of a ridge, with tea tables or other types of rock columns remaining. Coastal erosion may lead to the formation of sea cliffs along a receding coastline.

The title "A League of Their Own" refers to the 1992 movie with the same name starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna.
Plot
Betty is on the bus, speaking on her cell phone to Henry, who is on another bus. She is insisting that the two of them arrange their schedules so that they do not run into one another. They swap schedules, and agree that “maybe the whole avoidance thing will work after all”. They then realise that they were on the same bus when they run into each other.
At home, Ignacio is making breakfast. Hilda says she cannot stay, she has to go to the cemetery to do scratch-off lottery tickets with Santos. Justin says he is going to be with his friends, and explains that he is no longer part of the drama club. Justin then presents something for Hilda to sign, which she does without question. After he leaves, Ignacio asks Hilda what it was, she didn’t know. As Justin walks out of the house, his friends (including “the girlfriend”) are there and tells him his mother just gave him an excuse note to miss the field trip tomorrow, so they decide to take Hilda’s car. The girl is impressed.
